Hi everyone

I work for the University of Sheffield's Department of Journalism Studies as IT Officer. For the second year running I've developed a convergence website. This year using Drupal.

We run postgraduate courses in print, broadcast, web and magazine journalism and for the past two years have added a convergent element to the courses, as we understand (as does the rest of the journalism education community) the importance giving students a relevant and broad understanding of new media within journalism.

If you've never herd of Diigo.com (as I haddn't before last week) then you should probably go and research it a bit. It's like delicious on steroids and integrated better then any product I've found yet. Talks about a few modules that they are getting ready to release in the next little while. Course Designer being one of them and Assignment Studio is another one. I didn't have a ton of time to look through the site but after watching a few of the screencasts it looks pretty promising.

Just wanted to let the group know about some Drupal SCORM news that got in my e-mail tonight. I'm not really sure what to make of it because the site doesn't contain much information. The only info I found was that it was a SCORM Player build on Flex 3 (Adobe) for Drupal. Anyway, here's the link to check it out:

It is fantastic to see some others interested in work on a Drupal SCORM module.

At Nine Lanterns we have built an E-Learning Content Authoring System that generates SCORM packages (and other outputs like PDFs etc). The first few versions went through .ASP then .NET, and we are currently porting parts of it to Drupal.

Hi everyone. I've been working for several months now on a new social learning module for Drupal called “Writing Assignment.” This module will make it simple for a teacher to assign students to write on a topic and then for the writing to be read, commented on, and rated by other students. I think the code is to a point where I can show it to other people and not feel too embarrassed :>
