It was a matter of calling Drupal bootstrap from outside it, carefully setting ups db_queries and taking advantage and proper use of entities fields' properties by EntityQueryField.
The rough backend geodata in Drupal might be managed in different ways and modules (Geofield, Geolocation, Getlocation, whatever ... ) ... but the way it's shown in the front end is just a matter of html, javascript/jquery & json creativity ...

Feeds module was the biggest help for the migration of data from the original mysql db.

And now it works, and it works great ... also with a lot of (demo) data.

Not sure it's possible with the feeds's UI to do that. But it's what i need to do !!

Things i can do, separately:
- With feeds module i can import and do mapping with a CSV file everything i want like taxonomy.
- I can also import some RSS feeds, with a taxonomy, one by one, thru the UI.

What i'm searching so hard: do both things together.

I explain:
- I use this type of CSV file:
URL,Title,Taxo1,Taxo2
url1,1rs feed title, category1,type1
url2,2nd feed title, category2,category2
url3,13rd feed title, category2,type1

I'm a big user of iCal feed parsing in D6 using FeedAPI to consume Google Calendars for display in Calendar views. The idea being that the canonical source of calendaring data is sourced outside of Drupal in whatever Calendaring app the user naturally uses. In D7, there is no real progress on an iCal Feed Parser for Feeds, the successor to FeedAPI. I'm a little surprised that such a functional need hasn't been addressed yet over six months after D7's release. I wonder: is there an obvious workaround or alternate venue for this functionality in D7 that I'm not aware of?

I just posted a new module called Syndeploy. It provides content changes through syndication, that can be used to deploy from staging to production. It's sort of a pull version of Deploy. I had used the D6 with separate modules for opencalais and feeds for aggregation of my feeds.

Recently I jumped in for OP stock version OpenPublish-2.3-Build441 and set up the test site. There are a few issues related to above.

• The feed content type is missing
  (is that right or I missed something?)

• I do not see Social tags and Semantic Proxy option in Calais Node processing options?
  (I wonder if the same module in D6 provide me with semantic proxy, why i dont see it in OP, has the calais module been changed?)

Any clues to the above.

I have a potential project on the horizon which would be built around Wiredrive (http://www.wiredrive.com) an online media library for film, tv and video production. The service provides mRSS feeds of videos for external consumption into websites.

I'm wondering if anyone has any experience working either with Wiredrive or mRSS? I assume hooking an mRSS feed up to something like flowplayer should be pretty straight forward.

Hi all. I have a website that has been aggregating feeds for almost three years with the core aggregator module. I am thinking of using the more versatile feeds module (that I have been using successfully in other websites) but could not find a simple manner to import all my legacy entries. I need to created feeds that go into the Primary links navigation.

Hej finns det något sätt (kanske någon modul?) att låta användare själva lägga till en eller flera feeds från externa webbplatser som de vill hålla koll på som kan visas på sin användarens egen profilsida i ett block eller liknande? Optimalt tänker jag mig att användaren också ska kunna filtrera feed-innehållet och ange flera källor som kombineras.
