Working group

We are building a highly innovative framework that integrates Drupal sites with touch tone phones, SMS and Internet-telephony systems.

Our goal is to create a voice-over-internet-protocol (VoIP) platform that interoperates with existing VoIP PBX implementations (Asterisk, FreeSwitch, Tropo, Twilio and others) to provide Drupal users with the ability to, among other things:

* Record, send and receive audio messages
* Create and manage audio groups
* Add audio events to a shared calendar
* Organize phone-based polls
* Send meeting reminders
* Collect stories
* Broadcast emergency announcements
* And much more!

For business purposes, the integration with a LDAP directory containing contact/users informations is quite mandatory.
This group is dedicated to the development of various ldap-integration-related modules.

Contrib developers often need some help figuring out the best way to maintain their modules, both strategically and tactically.

This can include (but is not limited to)

• git best practices in contrib (branch naming? How to commit patches? How to commit my own work?)
• How to manage the issue queue
• How to deal with difficult people in the issue queue.

This group is for the younger ones in the Drupal community. However, we don't mind others joining at all.

Please do not post jobs here; this group is for younger people that might not be of working age. Any jobs that don't explicitly mention that they are prepared to hire underage workers will be deleted.

Drush is a shell-based application used to control, manipulate, and administer Drupal sites. On the surface, drush is an excellent tool for updating site modules, but here is a more comprehensive list of features for drush:

• Quick status report (get Drupal site version)
• Run cron
• Clear caches
• Export site databases (SQL dump)
• Update site code
• Update Drupal database (run "update.php")
• Get Info & Download Any Module & Themes
• Enable/Disable/Uninstall Modules & Thems
• Simulate updates/commands

Mercury is an open-source effort to create reusable, common, stable, kickass stacks for running Drupal. It began as an effort targeted to Amazon EC2, but really wants to have its stacks run anywhere/everywhere Drupal is found.

The ideas here have also spawned Pantheon Systems, which provides commercial service, but this group is about free and open-source DIY server configuration for Drupal.

This group is dedicated to share experiences on using Nginx as a webserver for Drupal sites. The goal is to provide community powered support for anyone looking for Nginx related advice, configuration examples and tuning. This group was born from a long thread about Nginx and Boost integration.
