Conference Report/Hackfest Coffeetalk
This Sunday we won't be having a formal lesson, but I (and others) can give our impressions from the OSCMS summit, and with a little luck we can get patched into the drupal hackfest going on at the Sunnyvale Sheraton. In theory we should be able to get a VNC connection with someone in the room, and the hackers will be in definite need of help reviewing patches and testing things out.
This will be somewhat improvisational, but check in at 11 and we'll see what we've gotten going on.

We still have space for several more lightening talks at the OSCMS/DrupalCon. I'd like to have around 10 or so, if possible, so please step up. You can sign up for a lightening talk by leaving a comment on the LT page. This would be an excellent opportunity to show off something evil. I'll be talking about viewfield, first announced here in D4E.

Just a quick note for everyone: the Dojo has a couple of events around the upcoming OSCMS Summit next week in Sunnyvale California. We have a session scheduled for Friday afternoon which I will lead:
http://2007.oscms-summit.org/node/206
This will cover the brief history of the Dojo, and talk a bit about where it's going, but the focus will be on how the model and technology stack can be replicated by other groups. This session is intended for the general public, and while I'd love help presenting and explaining our group (leave me a comment if you're interested in that), if you'd rather check out some of the other great sessions going on at the same time, they're likely to have more new information for you.
For the Dojo Faithful, I'm also organizing a BoF (Birds of a Feather) gathering on Thursday after the scheduled sessions wrap up:
http://2007.oscms-summit.org/node/208
The location is TBA. I'll try to find a good place to have a happy hour from 6 to 7 or so. Very likely what will happen is we'll all meet at some spot on the Yahoo Campus, and take it from there.

OCSMS schedule is posted http://2007.oscms-summit.org/schedule. There will not be a "News(papers) on Drupal" session.
But we should still get together. I've set aside an adjunct event http://2007.oscms-summit.org/node/369 but not scheduled it.
Some questions:
1) Should we just have lunch together on Friday?
2) Or a dinner outing on Thursday or Friday?
3) Anyone local to the area want to organize something?

Any money that is not used For DrupalCon (anything left over) will go towards The Drupal Association.

Hey Evil Drupalers,
I wanted to point you to the Drupal Lightning Talks at DrupalCon. They're a great opportunity to showcase something truly evil about Drupal.
Now back to your regularly scheduled evilness.

Wondering if people want together for a session during (or after) OSCMS. It would be great if people wanted to talk through some of the existing projects that can work with video in drupal and perhaps lay some plans for collaboration and integration between projects. I'd be happy to help organize this.

I know there was a session on Wikis last fall in Brussels. It seems like there has been a lot of movement. Does it make sense to do a session in California, and have a demo of a wiki in Drupal, and a Drupal wiki?
