Hello all,

I've started working on a business plan where we'd also need a directory. I'm not really an IT guy, but if our project takes off, there might be chances that we get funding to do some development of a module such as Sobi2 for Joomla and contribute it to the drupal community.

I've just set up a wiki page to identify the features such a module should have.

Three questions:

I'm wondering if anyone out there is developing custom features for OpenScholar? We'll be experimenting with developing a set of custom features in the coming weeks, but first wanted to see what others were up to. We're also curious if anyone has put together any docs on the process?

Our features will relate to a few foreign language classes we support as well as other course-related projects.

I hear at the acquia webinar that OpenScholar planing to integrate some university functional.
I discussed few projects for universities and large medical centers and I think that such sites need microsites with own spaces and features for faculties or departments.
I decided to built this system. I think this system could be very expected, because it meets requirments of large communities. Imagine community of some association with main site and many microsites of organizations who make this community.

I downloaded the features update (for OP 2.1) - but where do the files go?

I have created a wikipage comparing different methods how to duplicate Drupal sites focused on social functionality. I noticed that wikipages cannot be commented, so this discussion page is for that purpose.

I can not convert the overridden features to default after upgrade

have updated
have cleared cache
all the usual things, but I still can't get some of the features to change, strongarm is the most difficult as it is overridden on most of the pages

I'm trying to build a social network service with Drupal and Features, in the style of OpenAtrium. I have built some features which work fine on their own, but now I'm facing some problems.

First I started building some basic stuff like Events feature: some CCK fields (time, type, organizer), location integration (also CCK field), sign-up integration and couple of views. No problems there.

Then I created User profile feature: plenty of more CCK fields, CCK fieldgroups, location CCK, views, panels and more. Took me some configuring and patching, but works somehow ok.
