calbasi: La web siene sitemap.xml
OA User Dashboard Customization
I can't figure out how to customize the dashboard for when users login. I tried the following:
/admin/structure/panelizer/user/user.page_manager/content
This customized the dashboard for the administrator, but not the users.
Also, my goal is to put a files & folders widget on the dashboard that will list all the files the users has access to in all spaces they are members of. Is this possible? Any assistance in achieving this would be appreciated.
Thank you.

I'm trying to create a training system through drupal, starting with a dashboard. Something that tracks progress, gives admins or managers more control, etc. Haven't gotten any good details yet on what is needed... I'm just trying to figure out how to make it work. There seem to be several dashboard modules for drupal, like Total Control (one I'm trying to figure out now), but next to no documentation on any of the ones I could find.
Any ideas on where to start?
Thanks!
Let Drupal.org Dashboard serve content to user by interest
Allow users to self-define by interest(s) in the Dashboard. Each checked role would trigger a block displaying feed of content appropriate to their interest. Could be documentation, or see LinClark's new article on RSS by role using microdata.
Interests (or roles) might include: New to Drupal, Developer, Site Builder, Content Editor, Web Master, etc.
Make it possible to change interests (roles), so that folks have the option to change as needed.
Read moreStatus and Metrics
Stanford ITS has a nice Status and Metrics widget to show when their university network is experiencing problems or other related IT services are experiencing an outage.
Is there a Drupal module that already does this or is custom building a module (or making an application independent of Drupal) the way universities solve this particular need?

Hej!

Some food for thought -- Home Box is an incredibly easy to configure Dashboard creation module. I'm only posting here because I think this could be a great landing page for Drupal as an LMS. Anything that's a block can show up in a homebox display and it seems very flexible / stable from my early usage of it. You can also make multiple dashboards (different one for students vs. instructors vs. admin staff).

I want to have a user Dashboard page, like in WordPress. After logged-in, user will see appropriate, stylish and easy-to-use links and panels. This should improve Drupal usability.

Until recently, I hadn't noticed how similar Drupal is to Wordpress. Aside from being a PHP/MySQL application, Wordpress and Drupal share similar paths to theme and extend the application. While it seems that Wordpress is a much more mature product, Drupal ultimately seems to be more extensible from the non-developers perspective.
