Thanks to XJM, my risk management chart now has some unicorn magic included, so I thought I'd share it here in case it inspires y'all to do some more risk mgmt on your projects, or to keep doing it & have a cool tool for it!

Here's a link to that document + description of how to do risk mgmt if you aren't familiar with this technique.

Tag with Caution.

Hi everyone,

You've probably recently gotten about 15 updates about a camp in Mumbai -- Please don't unsubscribe. This might have been because someone tagged the PM audience in his post because he wanted some organizational help.

Personally, this annoys the crap out of me, and I'm sorry if you got inundated with emails :/ I kinda went mamabear on him, and I hope it doesn't happen again.

The focus of this group should be on Project, Portfolio & other management related issues to help people work through problems, share solutions, and where possible give a Drupal perspective.

International Project Management Day - Nov 15th

Check out the 8th annual International Project Management Day!
http://www.prweb.com/releases/2012/9/prweb9915882.htm

IIL is hosting a day of webinars from some very influential leaders. I've been to some of these in the past, it's also a great opportunity to hobnob virtually with PM's.

Highly recommend if it's anything like past years!

PM Yearbook

Hey! PM's!! We want to get to know you!

Please feel free to share as much (or as little) information as you like, but say hi, so we can all get to know each other, and find BoFs within this niche :)

Suggestion:
- your name
- your location
- your title/company (link if you want)
- contact info: email / twitter / irc / d.o / skype / other?

Why? It would be great to be able to say -- oh hey, there's like 10 pm's in my area, maybe we should do a meet up? Or, let's put on an awesome PM event at the next big conference -- now I can contact the ones that are interested!

Recap of PM Virtual Meet Up

Tonight was the first of (hopefully) many meet ups :) We focused the meeting on brainstorming since a bunch of us were all pumped up to get this group to a new state of awesome sauce.

It was so cool to see so many new people jumping out of their chairs to get involved -- I'm really excited about this energy and I can't wait to see it keep growing!

There are a few next steps that will serve us well:
- setting up the next meeting
- taking notes on the last meeting
- talking to two PM's each of us knows to spread the word

PM Bookmarks

We all have them -- places we regularly return to for information, tips, tricks, examples, documentation, news, etc etc.

I'd really love to pool our resources and start a PM bookmark library.
a) what's a good, public, sharable tool for this?
b) who's in?
c) everyone should say yes to b.

:)

27 Agile Things to Do Before You're Fired (aka: Ballsy)
