DrupalCamp 2011

Hola a todos!

There are some volunteer opportunities emerging as we get the event organized. There are a ton of little jobs and groups of them that can be done by patient people, so filling vacancy #1 will go a long way.

1. Volunteer Coordinator: Literally making sure kind volunteers have stuff to do before and during the event, and that the people who said they'd do things are in fact covering their posts. You will also have the added bonus of being indispensable, and probably get a fruit basket.

Okay, that was the only one. Anybody interested???

I am excited to announce that MWX (http://themwx.com) has offered to offer its coworking space as out primary venue for DrupalCamp WNY 2011, a Fri-Sat event scheduled for 14-15 Oct 2011.

A sincere thank you to everybody who submitted a survey reply and attended WNYDUG meetings to offer their input on the event so far! A further thank you is due to the DCamp WNY Organizing Board, who accepted the call to volunteer several months ago and are playing an active role in making something special happen. More details and volunteer opportunities will be posted shortly.

Took a look at the ATL list and see they have finalised the dates for Drupal Camp ATL.

Here is where we are with Drupalcamp Atlanta 2011:

Dates are set for Friday, Sept. 30th and Saturday, Oct. 1st, 2011

We have reserved the same venue as last year for Saturday (Georgia Tech Research Institute).

After a great Drupal Camp Nashville, I see there is a Drupal Camp Asheville coming up http://www.drupalcampasheville.com/ soon.
I should be able to go to this, wrangling it with the wife right now.

As an aside, Drupal Camp Boone will not be happening this year, which is a shame, I really enjoyed last years event (and it was also my 1st ever Drupal Camp). So Asheville may be the only other one close (ish) by to us for a while.

I've been chatting with Jason Hill a bit about this and he encouraged me to post here. I'd like to encourage the Utah group to have a Drupalcamp this summer.

If you don't already know, the goal of Drupalcamps is twofold: first it provides a learning opportunity for people new to Drupal and second it provides a place where experienced Drupallers can meet in person to share ideas.

Wir sind nun in die konkreteren Vorbereitungen für einen "Drupal Day 2011" in Rostock eingestiegen. Im Moment wollen wir das im geschlossenen Kreis voran treiben und sind dabei Informationen zusammenzutragen, Unterstützer (z.B. den Drupal-Initiative e.V.) zu kontaktieren und Aufgaben zu definieren. Und wir haben eine Mailingliste aufgesetzt.
