Drupal Camp Utah is Coming!

The upcoming 2017 camp will be held in May 2017.

We now have brochures (attached here) for DrupalCamp and the monthly DUG meetings. Thanks Derek!

I've sent them out to various Universities so we can start plugging into their comp-sci students. Next, I want to build a list of businesses already using Drupal, either internally or as consultants. Drupalcamp Colorado 2013 happened. It was amazing!

Like we usually do we've prepared a survey about the event for people who attended and for people who didn't attend.

I have been trying to get things organized but church has made things a little difficult. I have been asked to work with the youth in our ward which has taken a busy schedule and made it crazy. In the last week I have had all of 3 evenings of free time and tomorrow I'm taking them camping in Zion for the week.

Anyone who is willing or able I would appreciate your help. Things that need doing:

July 8th/9th is rapidly approaching and we still only have four proposed sessions for Drupal Camp Utah. If you added to the planning page, please log in and propose a session so we can vote (if necessary) and finalize the sessions.

The last day to add your session(s) is June 11th.

The base of the site is configured. I will be adding more information as it becomes available but I wanted to invite the local community to register and share any problems, concerns, or suggestions before I spread the word with Colorado, Las Vegas, and San Diego. Are tehre any other communities that we should specifically notify. Colorado and San Diego have asked to be notified and it seems silly to notify San Diego without also notifying Las Vegas.

I know we got such a great raise of hands fighting to build the site. To avoid anyone having it forced upon then, I am will to build it. I do feel I should clarify a few things and offer three opportunities to help without having to build the site. Opportunity 1) I am not a designer, if any one would be willing to mock up the site I will put it together.

I've been chatting with Jason Hill a bit about this and he encouraged me to post here. I'd like to encourage the Utah group to have a Drupalcamp this summer.

If you don't already know, the goal of Drupalcamps is twofold: first it provides a learning opportunity for people new to Drupal and second it provides a place where experienced Drupallers can meet in person to share ideas.
