Short notice: DrupalCamp this Saturday in Denver, Colorado [updated]

Start:
2007-11-03 01:00 - 17:30 US/Mountain

Drupallers in the greater Denver area, we are delighted to announce a DrupalCamp this Saturday, November 3rd, from 9am to 4:30pm (with more informal ad hoc festivities after, if required or desired).

What will happen? We're not totally sure. There's great interest here to dive into a Drupal 6 bug-hunt, joining chx, webchick, desbeers, dvessel, davidstrauss and others in #drupal, but I'm sure other discussions, hacking and code swarms will take place. (Count me in on any discussion of theming, documentation, architecture or agile development!) I should also mention that we will benefit from the illustrious and knowledgeable presence of Andy Kirkham (AjK), who will be visiting us from Scotland!

Thanks to the tenacity and hard work of Paul Coughlin, we have space at DeVry University. More details to come, but we do have an address:

There will be presentations, open table discussions, lightning talks and more ranging from Getting started - planning and maintence overview by Steven Peck, Discussion about Usability by Neil Drum, to Performance and Caching with Drupal by Steve Rude and much more!

Update: Six weeks after we opened registration, and after two capacity increases, we are maxed out with 200 attendees. Promises to be a grand time.

Signup module for dug events and drupalcamps

There was some talk at the Seattle Dug about helping out with signup module so that it would be compatible with things going on here on g.d.o (so that it could be used for signups to dug events)

there is post over here about the todo list for the signup module http://groups.drupal.org/node/5044

maybe the upcoming la drupal camp, or berkeley camp or an associated user group (or the Seattle DUG) would be able to contribute some to the signup module?

DrupalCampNYC3 donation to Drupal Association!

DrupalCampNYC3 is over and everything has finally been wrapped up. The camp was a big success bringing over 130 people together for one full day of Drupal Goodness and a second day of developer hacking. As usual the crowd consisted of people from all walks of life from the complete new-to-drupal person to the advanced Drupal hacker. It was a great time. Thanks to everyone that attended!

fellow drupalcampers,

in a little over two weeks, i'll be heading around the world to visit you. yup, that's right... i'm spending seven months traveling the globe looking at open source communities, global change and free culture. if you are planning a drupalcamp or hackday, i hope you take a look at my schedule < http://luckofseven.com/wiki/itinerary > and think about including me.

as an advocate of drupal, 25% of the project's proceeds will be donated to the drupal association.
