Last week, about a week after I returned from DrupalCon Szeged, I attended DrupalCamp NYC, and as with most un-conferences, I left wondering "when can I get to one of those again?" So, I bought myself a plane ticket to San Francisco to hit up BADCamp (and chill with some Drupal friends whom I don't get to see nearly enough). And while I love an excuse to travel both near and far, it got me thinking, isn't it about time to hold a DrupalCamp Philly? Or, maybe we should reach beyond our borders and do a MADCamp (Mid-Atlantic Drupal Camp)?

DrupalCamp NYC was a blast: lots of geek love and code (and beer and pizza). See a description of presentations at http://groups.drupal.org/node/13855. There were 100 folks the first day and maybe 50 on Sunday. I threw out the idea of folks coming up to VT and there was some interest. I have an empty condo near Burbank with a couple beds, couches, and floor space for needy out of town Drupal Campers who can bring their own sheets or sleeping bag, and offer an in-kind trade like parking money at the convention center, or Drupal or Linux or Graphic Design services. (I need a better theme.....)

I'm driving Sat and Sun from Long Beach to the camp. Any Long Beach campers need a lift, let me know. I can take 3 others.

May not stay all day Sunday, FYI, but will stay full day Sat, and returning that evening.

I was wondering when the sessions and topics for the different tracks are going to be posted on the site. I'm getting excited! Las Vegas is representin' yo ;)

If anyone is planning on attending DrupalCamp NYC, a week from Saturday, and would like a ride up to the Rotten Apple, I'm driving up on Saturday AM and will have some space in my ride. Anyone interested?

Have decided to scoot down to Los Angeles for Drupalcampla.com, as I will be down there for the Digital Identity conference in Anaheim earlier that week.

Any other drupalchix attending / organizing drupalcamp Los Angeles?
