meetup

Hi,
Before the summer I started some discussions about starting an Ithaca Users group. There was some good interest but unfortunately work and life got heck to over the summer and I dropped the ball.

Anyways I am still interested and I propose a quick get together in the next week or so at a bar or coffee shop for people to meet face to face and talk about starting the group.

I suggest Monday(Sept 12th), Tuesday, or Thursday of next week(or the week after) at 6pm. I open to location suggestions.

Mein Deutsch ist ein bisschen rüstig, so ich will denn das mestes im English schreiben:

I will be in Berlin on the 6th of September, and also the morning of the 7th. I attended the drupal design camp earlier this year, which was great.

If anyone has the time, I would like to meet other drupalers - of all types and fashions.

My interests in Drupal are:

1. Fascinating, complete system that I never tire of learning
2. Theming - I come from a design angle

O Verão está a acabar (por aqui parece que nem chegou ainda) e já se começa a preparar mais uma época de grande actividade.
Aproveitando a visita do Pedro Albuquerque, pedroalb, a Portugal, lanço aqui o desafio de nos encontrarmos no Porto para uma conversa sem formalismos onde o tema será Drupal!
Proponho desde já a data de Sábado 1 de Outubro no Aviz. Temos finos, francesinhas e wifi de borla (só o wifi bem entendido). Contudo aceitam-se propostas alternativas. Quando estiver definida a data e o local abrimos um evento.

I'd like to schedule the next Brevard meetup for Thursday, August 18th. I realize this is one week later than normal - hope this isn't a big inconvenience.

Ben Hosmer and I had discussed a potential topic for the meetup. Ben: if you can chime in to confirm what we discussed (and that you can make it), then we should be good to go to make it official.

Идеята, която имам е, да стане като традиция - всеки първи (или втори или трети) петък на месеца да се събираме на по биричка (или на по две или на по три) в една неангажираща среда и да си говорим за Друпал, за ИТ и всякакви всевъзможни неща.

Productive session tonight at EHQ (http://thinkehq.com) at Perkins Rowe in Baton Rouge. Jeff and Brian from the group met with the team from RIO and a couple of volunteers from the local entrepreneur community for a planning and brainstorming session ahead of Saturday's Site Building Volunteer Day (http://www.meetup.com/louisianadrupal/events/19485551/).

For the planned site we determined:
- Working title/domain name & registered the domain
- Setup hosting account (post-event Brian went home and got the server, Drupal install and Drush config all complete already)

Louisiana’s new Regional Innovation Organization (RIO) will team up with volunteers from the Louisiana Drupal Users Group (LaDUG) on Saturday, July 9, to build a new web site to help create a stronger, more vibrant entrepreneurial community in South Louisiana.

The event will be held at Pleasant Hall on the LSU campus in Baton Rouge, with facilities and assistance being provided by LSU Continuing Education.

Calling all DrupalChix in Colorado.

After the HUGE success of our DrupalCamp Colorado last weekend, and the upcoming Drupalcon Denver in 2012, we wanted to see how we could get more of you amazing Drupalchix involved in the Colorado Drupal community.

I know getting involved can seem really overwhelming at first, and some gals may be wanting to make it to the DBUG meetings, but really would feel comfortable if they knew someone.

Drupal Meetup is coming right up! Bring your ideas for summer projects, your enthusiasm for Drupal and your appetite. (And your mefi, if you've got one ... Bob's still has no wireless, but they do have decent food.)

Hi,

I understand there is a Pasadena Drupal meetup at the beginning of every month. I heard a few concerns about running out of space. I will venture out and see what I can do about my Caltech contacts. But in the meantime, I write to suggest my favorite cafe, which is a 1-minute walk away from the original Pasadena meetup location.
