Hi everyone, remember tonight is the December meetup at Stetson's. We are expecting 6 great talks includes a preview of some Whitehouse.gov functionality.

The December Washington, DC Drupal meetup will happen on Monday, December 13th at 7:00 pm at Stetson's Bar in DC.
Back by popular demand will be another quick round of showcasing sites and solutions built with Drupal in our local community.

The list of presenters includes:

* Kirsten Burgard from the Department of Veterans Affairs 
* Sean Robertson from NGP Software 
* Andrew Conklin and Ryan Dellolio from the DC Chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery
* Alex Barth from Development Seed
* David Coffey and Joel Sackett from Phase2 

The second monthly meeting of the Louisiana Drupal Users Group represented a 167% increase in attendance in just one month! OK, so it was an increase from 3 to 8, but still, I'd like to see a group with a better percent increase in its first two months!

Thanks to all who attended at Cooter Brown's Tavern in New Orleans on Dec. 2 including Doug, Brian, Eric, Sabrina, Jim, Hank and Jason.

We had a brief discussion about growing the group, pursuing a Drupalcamp down the road, and then shared some general discussion about tips trends in Drupal.

We never had Drupal meetup in Ahmedabad. I have been meeting few Drupal Developers, around 5 of us felt that we should have Drupal meetup.
We are planning one around December end wherein Drupal Developers in Ahmedabad or Gujarat can come and share anything about Drupal. We are debating on the agenda for the meetup.

Agenda for the meetup can be
1. Discussion on Drupal 7 and
2. Discuss some challenging Drupal work done in recent past
3. Networking

There are regular meetups in Belfast, Dublin and Galway. Were it an option I'd really like to attend one, however as one of those down in the wilds of Cork they're all a bit to far. Would there be any interest in a meetup in Cork?

We are planning the next Meetup in New Orleans Thursday, December 2nd 7pm. Now time to settle on a location.

We definitely need beer and internet access and preferably food. There is a list of WiFi restaurants in New Orleans from Urban Spoon: http://www.urbanspoon.com/New-Orleans I vote for Cooter Brown's it has all the requirements and is pretty easy to find. The Bulldog has a nice beer selection. Both Cooter Brown's and The Bulldog have confirmed that WiFi is available.

I am open to suggestions.
