Hi,

It has been long time since we had any Drupal meetup in Jaipur

As we know the next Drupal Camp Delhi (http://drupalcampdelhi.in/) is on 8th Dec, lets meet and find out how we all can contribute towards it and help in growing the local Drupal community as well.

Venue and time is open. How about Saturday, 10th Nov ?

Open for suggestions / thoughts.

I'd like to discuss how we could organize/plan the office/formal/training style meetup for October 28th in Beijing-Haidien area.
There will be different level of Drupal skill set and knowledge so focusing certain level might not be ideal.

I was thinking we could all participate and request or offer what we would like to learn or propose or share by commenting.
Then we can vote(click like button or plus button) and also discuss and choose topics more open style. :)

Its that time of the Month again...

We are soliciting presenters for next weeks meeting September 19th.

I have a presentation for Features and GIT that I am almost done putting together.

If you have a topic or lightning talk you would like to discuss, please contact myself or one of the other organizers to make sure we have you slotted for time.

For the last 3 Galway Drupal Meetups we have basically sat around and discussed whatever came up.

Whilst this was very enjoyable and we all learned "something", we wish to have things a little more structured. To start this process off, we are trying to establish two things:

1) A presentation for each meetup
2) Someone to give the presentation

This thread is an attempt to begin the discussion about "What would YOU like to hear about/present on at Galway Drupal Meetups?". Some topics that came up at the last meeting:

I would like to suggest a casual meetup in Beijing to get connected and network and share.

Also I learned how to contribute back to the community even though I am not a drupal expert(I am a little over 4 months since discovering drupal).
I would like to share things I learned from community members when I attended DrupalCon Munich recently and share my experience if you are interested in hearing.

Je propose d'organiser un meetup drupal sur la thématique de la
performance en drupal.

L'idée de base c'est de faire de ce meetup une partage d'expériences
et astuces. Comme faire drupal marcher vite. Soit du point de vue du
frontend, soit du point de vue backend, du serveur HTTP jusqu'à la
base de données.

On invitera des personnes qui sont liées à des sites drupal à fort
trafique pour parler des stratégies employées pour régler le problème.

Il y a de l'ouverture pour parler de nouvelles approches, en dehors
des sentiers battus.

We had our sixth meetup this past Tuesday to great success. We had 13 members show up this time and had Andrew Riley come up from Orlando to give his presentation on Intro to Git.

We also had a successful Google Hangout Broadcast of the presentation to YouTube. We may want to consider doing the presentation via Google Hangouts but possibly the entire meeting and then we can draw comments from YouTube. We had 3-4 viewers on YouTube and some discussion on the comments which was great to see.
