The format of this contributed meetup is a little loose, and i'm sure as we do more of them it will be more structured. Any input is appreciated.

Hello,

I've been Drupaling for a little over a year now, and I've been interested in getting more involved with Drupal in terms of Meetups and community participation. There doesn't seem to be a very Vibrant Drupal community here in Albany, but I do know of a handful of people around here using it.

I don't have a location worked out, though my work is willing to let us use their conference room if we can't find something better. The one here is small and dated.

Is there anyone interested in a Drupal meetup in Bangkok?

I will be in Bangkok the following dates: 15-18 January or 20-22 January, and would like to meet anybody doing Drupal.

It would be interesting to meet fellow developers or company owners, as well as freelancers or newbies. I am both looking for potential subcontractors, and getting some details on the Thailand scene.

I am the chairman of the Norwegian Drupal Association, and is therefore interested in all things Drupal in general :)

Hope anyone has the time to have a lunch or beer!

Hi all, my name is Gary. I would like to organize a Drupal Meet Up sometime January 2012, and am polling for interest.

Preferred venue and time is Makati, Waltermart area and a late Saturday morning, Jan. 14, 21, 28 or Feb. 4, around 10am-12nn.

Reasons why I am doing this:
- I am a Drupal developer and am interested in sharing what I know and learning more.
- I'd like to know who else shares same interests.
- I'd like to see some locally grown projects.
- If there is a way to help promote the technology I'd like to know about it and help. I've some ideas of my own.

With the recent success of the first round of Brevard County meetups now behind us, we've decided to push forward with another round of bi-monthly meetups in order to continue Brevard's rise of dominance in the Florida Drupal community (and soon the world! maniacal laugh)

We'll be moving the meetups to Thursday nights starting on January 12. The location will remain the same (The Shamrock Room, above Ryan's Pizza, in Cocoa Village) as well the time (6:30pm).

The tentative schedule is as follows:

• January 12
• January 26
• February 16
• March 1
• March 15
• March 29

We're looking for topics and/or speakers for most of these dates. If you have any suggestions, please make yourself heard in the comments!

I wonder how I missed this group! No wonder I can never find out when the KC meetups are. Now I'll know. (Thank you, Scott.)

A colleague and I are also trying to organize a meetup in Lawrence. At this point we don't have times or locations, because we'd like to find out if anyone is interested. (Plan for 4 people or 40?)

If you are interested, respond here. I'd like to know what times work for people, e.g., if you work in Lawrence would you be able to come to a brown bag lunch? Early evening?

I'm psyched to announce a series of bi-weekly Drupal meetups in Brevard County on a variety of topics in a new, central location.

Hello folks,

The developers at GoingOn got to talking recently, and decided there seemed to be a gap in SF for a developer-centric advanced topics meetup group. Something less along the lines of formally prepared presentations, Drupal news, and the use of Site Building tools, and more like round table discussions about things like Exportables, Performance, D7 Custom Module Upgrades, and Views Plugin Development.

Does the community see this sort of thing as redundant?
