I updated the story a few weeks so this is just a reminder. The usual Tuesday meetup has been moved to Thursday. I apologize for the move but the MNN space was crammed and on Thursday we'll have the space to ourselves.
What do you guys want to talk about?
Drupal 5.0?
Google map projects?
Node_save()?
Toronto February Meetup
Come fight the snow and ice for our monthly Drupal meetup (I promise the coffee is good at the cafe). We'll be chatting about Drupal 5 and specifically looking at the state of contributed modules and themes for the new release. We'll also probably cover some planning details for the DrupalCampTorontoII. Come one come all, and I hope to see you there!
Time: 6 - 8 pm Tuesday, February 20th
Location: LinuxCaffe 326 Harbord St. [map]
Making a Scheduling Grid with Views Presentation Write-Up
As promised, a write-up of my presentation at the January Drupalers meeting.
My name is Dale McGladdery, and I'm a Drupala ... sorry, wrong meeting. Here we go.
Northern Voice Scheduling Grid
The Views module via theming allows custom formatting of list views using PHP code. This formatting method, combined with CCK, can be used to provide a data driven schedule grid. This was used to create the Northern Voice scheduling grid: 2007.northernvoice.ca/schedule.

This Views feature was also used to create the Northern Voice FAQ page: 2007.northernvoice.ca/faq
My apologies for people looking for an exact how-to. This will, I'm positive, give you enough information to recreate the grid, but it isn't a complete set of step-by-step instructions.

January 2007 Meeting Notes
There was record turn out at the January 25th meeting with approximately 30 people vying for chairs in the Bryght office in Gastown. The longest distance traveled award goes to a certain Toronto based "Bryght guy" joining us via webcam.
There were 4 presentations:
- Contec (Drupal + Mobile Phones)
- BPO Canada
- Dale McGladdery on making a scheduling grid with Views
- Steven Wittens with a demo of his new jQuery widgets
