Zen theming
Hi all,
Firstly, thanks to the Dublin crew for divulging loads of their theming secrets, and putting me on the right track after last week's meet up. It's nice to have a clear path to forge on ahead. And so I have :)
I've started with Zen, and Sass, and Compass (and Ruby Gems on Windows argh!!!) and it's coming along nicely.

Hi,
Have anyone experienced that a zen theme shrinks on iOS? My site www.tambourhinoceros.net does so and I can't figure out why. It looks as intended (960px wide) on desktops & laptops.
Notice the newsletter button on IOS btw, the only thing that seems to use the full width of the site on iOS.
Any ideas?

Hi.
I'm at a dead end with my header.
1)
I want to have search, main menu and logo on the same row. (see attachment). The menu and logo are aligned but I can't figure out where the search block is.
To be more specific: I have enabled the search block and put it in my header. But when I do it appears as a block below menu and logo. Can anyone tell me how to move the block so it appears to the left of my main menu?

Read moreZen for our Branding Agency
We've been using Zen on most of our Drupal projects for the past three years at Insfilo Branding Agency, and when its time to redesign our portfolio website on February 2011, we just can't think of any other theme that is both simple and flexible enough to drupalize the design.
Thank you Zen and the Drupal Community :)
Creating a front page in zen for Drupal 7
I am having great difficulty finding how to create a zen front page that has a different layout from the rest of the pages.
First I looked here in Core templates and suggestions:
http://drupal.org/node/190815
where I found this info:
page-[front|internal/path].tpl.php
base template: page.tpl.php
z-index problem with zen liquid lay-out
The z-index property gives some strange behavior.
I have created a liquid sub-theme with Zenophile 6.x-2.0. In the second sidebar there is a block with a picture. When resizing the browser window, this picture should glide behind the node content. So I gave the block a z-index value which is lower than the node content. And all looked fine while I was logged in as a user. When I logged out, the picture came to the front, overlapping the node content.

Hi!
If I'm not in the right forum for this kind of topic, please accept my apologies -- and it would be great if you could direct me to a more appropriate place.
I'd like to print the $title above $content and $sidebar_second, but to the right of $sidebar_first. What the best way to do that?
Read moreCreating a Panel within Panel
Hi Guys,
Ok, after struggling a bit with template files and CSS I created a sub theme based on Zen (http://www.bits-connexions.com/). I used panels2 for the layout of the front page and I want to customise it further by adding three columns in the bottom pane (where is written "some content here").
I can achieve this by creating 3 divs and aligning them horizontally with CSS but thought to see if I can create another panel the bottom pane. Is it possible to create a panel within a pane? Could someone provide some url with examples?

Hi Everyone,
I am trying to build a theme from a base theme. I am currently using Zen as my base theme. I just came across Fusion and would like to hear from your experience, on flexibility, of both Zen and Fusion.
CSS Stylesheets, best practice
Hi there, i was wondering if you can help me, i have recently installed the latest Zen theme to start work on a new site and noticed it's changed slightly with the amount of stylesheets involved now. This is fine but i need to know what you recommend to do with the sub-themes. It's giving me a headache battling with so many stylesheets and switching from one to another to do some simple styling.
What's the best practice, should i be working on my own .css file overwriting these stylesheets or just amend each one as i go along?
Cheers for your help!
Rik
