OK we are set for Monday, November 6 at 9:00am here: http://www.mediaed.org/ It is a great space with projector and screen.

We have the room until 12:00pm if we want to go that long. There is a coffee shop in the same building.

Suggested topics:

1. I can do a presentation about what I know about theming (the basics) and then people who know more can take it from there.

2. Maybe Tim can teach us about how modules work? Hook function and all that jazz? Maybe look at example.module? (http://drupal.org/node/292)

Also, extra bonus: that night in Cambridge there is a Boston Users Group that’s going to be a great meeting. Check it out: http://groups.drupal.org/boston4 Jeff Robbins from Lullabot.com will be there. If you want to drive in together, let me know.

Tuesday night is free for him, so hopefully some folks can make it out. I've put 7pm as the suggested time, we could do a bit earlier as well.

P.S. Sorry for parachuting in to the group...I'm going to be in town to see Dries and he doesn't have time to organize anything. I have no idea on locations. On Monday night, I'm going to a Geek Dinner at the Blue Moon Tavern. Dries is staying at the Marriot Courtyard, so something vaguely in the vicinity would be good.

ich gehe jetzt einfach mal davon aus, dass wir nicht mehr als 10 Leute werden. ;-) Dann können wir das Treffen auch bei mir machen. Sämtliche Getränke stellen meine Frau und ich (Espresso, Latte Macchiato, Orangensaft, Tee...) plus die 16 Mbit-Flatrate per WLAN. Wenn jeder was mitbringt zum Schmausen, und wir uns hier abstimmen, wer was mitbringt, dann haben wir auch einen tollen Brunch.

The last Tuesday of this month is Halloween and I figured that people didn't want to talk about Drupal when they could be out getting FREE CANDY!!! or at least scaring some kids, participating in the halloween day parade or other fun things.

This needs a host. I will be in California, the space at MNN is still available but I won't be there. Can someone show up around 6:45 just to turn the lights on, open the door and guide the new people to the room? please...

Now this isn't saying that Drupal isn't fun but... well halloween is more fun ;)

October Meetup:

October means Halloween, turning our clocks back to reclaim that lost hour, and another gathering of the Vancouver Drupaliers!

The October meetup is Thursday October 26th, 6:30pm at Bryght's new office at 1 Alexander in Gastown. This will be a house warming of sorts, though I understand plants are optional. Bring your lightning talks, your questions about module programming, site configuration or anything else Drupal for "Stump the Ninja" and show off new sites you've released into the wild.

Feel free to BYOB or snacks.
