Este es mi 1º mensaje al grupo :) Asi que antes que nada feliz año!

Soy bastante nuevo en Drupal, aprendiendo a prueba y error. Tengo poco conocimiento de programación, pero igual me largué a desarrollar un sitio.
Pregunta: (probablemente sea muy inocente)
Como han resuelto el tema de compatibilidad entre PHP 5.3 y drupal? El hosting que tengo contratado migró a a esa versión y drupal no la soporta me da errores por todos lados; (hice el desarrollo en un servidor local con wamp y php 5.2)

Algun hosting que recomendar? Otra solución?

I was just wondering, what hosting do you use for your Drupal church installations? Our pastor wants us to stay away from GoDaddy because of their questionable advertising in the past.

So, what hosting services are you using? Are you happy with them? Are there any that you have had bad experiences with and want to stay away from?

¿Algún server que me recomienden, que sea serio y que yo pueda acceder por completo a las carpetas, permisos, etc? Quiero bastante independencia, velocidad de transferencias.

¿ideas de costos?

Hola gente, estoy necesitando alojar un sitio en españa, la verda ke nunca habia tenido que elegir un hosting para un cliente, pero el que tenian simplemente no era suficiente para drupal, el problema fue el memory_limit de php, lo maximo que dejaban era 16 y apra drupal eso es muy poco me parece, asique tengo que recomendarles uno, no quisiera recomendar alguno y que no ande porque deraria muy mal, alguno de uds puede recomendar alguno en el que actualmente esten hosteando algun sitio con drupal y ande todo ok?

Hope this isn't politically incorrect. I'm planning a Drupal site for a film I will be marketing in a few months. I'm currently hosted (multiple simple HTML-CSS sites) at Godaddy as a simple "shared" site on Linux. I'm concerned that if I start to have success in the form of 20 to 120 people a day creating logins, logging in to comment, upload pictures, etc., that my current hosting will become a huge performance bottleneck. Moving to the dedicated hosting or the virtual dedicated hosting is expensive (for me) but might be a necessity.

NOTE: this is an old thread, with now outdated information regarding using Nginx with Aegir. While as a standalone Nginx configuration it may still work fine, it was greatly improved in the meantime and now Nginx is natively supported in Aegir, no more hacks/patches etc. You can install (and upgrade) Aegir based on Nginx, with all enhancements thanks to available now Barracuda & Octopus installers, hosted on GitHub and Gitorious: https://github.com/omega8cc/nginx-for-drupal and http://gitorious.org/aegir/barracuda-octopus.

I am currently hosting my new site with lunarpages. The company and the server my site is hosted on are based in California. It seems to be running fairly slowly. Does anyone know that if I hosted it on a UK server it would run quicker, and if so can anyone recommend a hosting company.

Aunque no soy un experto, no sé tanto como algunos de Uds pero he montado el sitio www.colrut.com con Drupal y lo administro. Le he instalado algunos módulos. En este momento el sitio tiene unos 300 usuarios, y 94 fans en facebook. Viendo que he montado el sitio y que algunas personas desean crear su sitio con Drupal, deseo saber que cosas debo cobrar al montar un sitio con Drupal y como determinar los valores.

Tambien se como ganar dinero con Adsense y su sitio web, como promocionarlo con Adwords, entre otras cosas.
