hosting

Tengo la tarea de definir el camino más viable entre hacer una instalación de D6, la cuál de la facilidad de configurar sitios dentro de si(multisitio) y a estos configurarles su propio dominio+tema. Suena un poco confuso, pero no estoy seguro si algo así se podría realizar. Es similar a Drupal gardens. O hacer esto con instalaciones del drupal por aparte por cada sitio. No he trabajado con multisitios, entonces toda la ayuda que me puedan dar es bien recibida.

Por donde podría empezar?

I understand that you can use drush installed locally, on a remote server without the need to use ssh, through an alias. Is this correct? Do you people know about a good tutorial out there? I have a bluehost account and they ask for some ID faxed to them, I do not live in the US and i dislike the idea of having to scan an send an ID. Not happening.

Hi! I read the FAQ and found a post that is a similar case to ours but just wanted to confirm.

My question is simply does managed hosting constitute conveyance? I imagine a lot of folks will have similar questions as computing moves more toward a virtual and cloud hosting context.

In our case, we host our own Drupal instance, which contains custom modules and theme extensions we developed to meet the specific needs of our audience. We plan to release parts of the work we have developed to the open source community, but on a schedule we can support.

I’m developing a personal site for a Belgian friend, in Drupal of course! I’m looking for a hosting company which can offer managed VPS plans in Belgium or nearby.

I could host it in one of our servers in Chigago, but crossing the ocean to serve Belgian people sounds rare to me.

The Aegir project would like to present our 0.4 alpha 13 release. This release is primarily a bug fix release, fixing the site imports which have been causing issues with alpha 12.

New in this release is the ability to specify a makefile when you create a platform, which can be either a file on the hostmaster filesystem or a URL. Aegir will automatically build the platform from the specified makefile when it attempts to verify the path, and detects that it is not there.

Does anyone know of a shared host (inexpensive) that will give You a folder out side the web root? So i can upload our pdf's and videos into, to secure. It's for a continuing ed site.
