Update date when editing nodes

Pardon the basic question but I've been stumped for hours on a seemingly easy problem.

I noticed that when a user (e.g. administrator) edits an existing node (not creating a new post or comment), the date/time stamp does not get updated. It retains the old stamp when the post was originally created. How do I make drupal automatically update the date/time stamp when someone edits a node/comment?

is it safe to remove <?php print $classes; ?> ?

hi guys.. hope is well.. I just want to ask..

is it safe to remove

<?php
print $classes;

in block.tpl.php. I'm actually maintaining a Drupal site which I think created using Zen. I'm doing some HTML validation using the CSE Validation tool and it gave me this error

The "class" attribute has an empty or missing attribute value. The expected value is one of the following: an

alphanumeric string or a string.

<div id="block-black_theme_support-8" class=""><div class="block-inner">

Image Slider Question

Hello. I have some web development experience but fairly new to Drupal.
How do I create an image slider of my "Featured" Content using EasySlider 1.1.7 and Views?
I setup JQuery-EasySlider on my homepage template page--front.tpl.php and hardcoded some image links, something like below:

<?php
drupal_add_js
('jQuery(document).ready(function(){
jQuery("#slider").easySlider({
auto: true,
continuous: true
});
});'
,'inline');
?>

<

div id="slider">

<

ul>

  • Only local images are allowed.<?php
    print $directory;
    ?>
    /images/01.jpg" alt="" />
