I've just released the first beta of a new module, with the exciting and extremely inventive title: Content Profile Form Parts.
The idea is to allow users to edit their profiles without leaving their profile page; to do this an admin identifies parts of the Content Profile form the user should be able to edit, these go into Drupal system blocks and are loaded via AJAX when the user clicks a link on their profile.

Hi all,
I have a bit of a problem that you might be able to help me with. I am using the content profile for users to create a profile and expose most of the fields created with it on the user registration form. I am running into a problem with the administration of users as I have multiple names for a single person. I have the username that the user logs in with, a legal name, that is only seen by the logged in user and any administrators, and an artist name that is used on the publicly viewable profile page. My problem is that when an administrator want s to either moderate, block or delete a user, he has to visit the profile, get the artists username, head to the user administration and search for the username there.

Hi all,
I have a little dilemma that I need some help on. I am building a site that allows anonymous users to upload three files during the account creation process. This is enabled through content profile and uses the filefield to upload the file. The account is then blocked pending review from a manager of the site via Drupals default account creation settings.
Since the user that uploads the file(s) does not yet exist in the system by the time the file(s) are uploaded, the file(s) are created under user 0. I am using the following filefield path settings: profile/[uid]/audio.

I'm trying to use Content Profile & CCK to allow users to input some information from various social networks. Right now I'm just using textfield, one for each social network (twitter, facebook, linked in, etc) to input either a link or their username from that social network.
My goal is to be able to create a block so that when people visit their profile, they will have a block that just contain icons representing each of the networks if that CCK field is filled out (i.e. if they've entered that info).

OK, fellow PDXers, I need some help on something I know some of us around here have experience with. What I need is pretty simple, but there are a few ways to do it.
I'm working on a site for car research news, and I have experts and articles. I'm using Content Profile, and for each expert, I need to display a dynamic list of the articles that have been written by that expert on his profile node. There are two main ways I can see to do it:

I tried to find an answer to this question in vain. So here we go.
In content profile, is there any way to show a field in the node (profile) as a required field in user registration page? Someone in a forum said it is possible with content profile but I couldn't find any good material to show how to do it.
Thanks

I am a newbie with content profile but love every bit of the idea. Most of its functionalities are straightforward. Its documentation is, however, hardly found. Could you direct me to some?
