Chamfer Theme released
Just figured I'd drop a line here. The first theme to be published on drupal.org as a result of the ELMS project has been released. This will effectively replace all of our default course themes that we roll out. I figured I'd share as it was developed specifically for the educational sector of the drupal community.

I am still learning Drupal but wanted to ping the education community for some suggestions on themes you would recommend for a district website. Either something you have used or saw that you thought would fit well. I don't mind having to do some customization, etc. Thanks!

Just wanted to announce the availability of a Sharepoint-clone theme for Drupal, which I imagine could be quite suitable for educational websites et.c. It's available here The page itself is currently using the theme.
The same skin is ported to MediaWiki too, so you can have a completely integrated look-and-feel between Drupal and MediaWiki (+ Sharepoint of course). The MediaWiki counterpart can at the moment be seen here.

I'm working to roll out some new district and building sites using zen theme as a base and am finding that the Internet Explorer pages are taking 5-7 seconds to load while firefox loads the pages almost instantly. Any ideas on what I might have done wrong in theming the site ( http://www.zps.org )?
So far I have tried turning off modules, using YSlow, using online page analysis tools, and changing out graphics. It feels like I may have some CSS issue...just not sure.
Thanks to anyone who might be willing to take a quick look and point me in some direction.

I'm going to do two different shows at the end of April and in mid-May. I would like to have a sample Drupal site running at my booth to show off Drupal vs. Schoolwires. Here's an example of a Schoolwires web site - http://www.burgettstown.k12.pa.us/btown/site/default.asp. (All for the incredibly low price of $160k per year!) Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks,
