Drupalcon was a great leep forward for education. Drupal is taking off in k-12, university and private sector training usage for the delivery of educational materials. A mixed group of people passionate about education and training got together for a learning management system (LMS) BoF at Drupalcon. I'm thinking of doing a simple module that would take a Drupal Book and output a SCORM package (.zip) with the necessary components.

My questions are:
* would there be interest for such a module?
* what SCORM standard (pick one) would be the "best" (least worst?) one to use? (Pointers are welcome, I'm kind of a newb regarding all the available standards).
* do you have any features you'd like this to have?

I'm wondering if you have any plans to view SCORM compliant files within drupal.

Currently this module displays content but it doesn't record any user data (such as how far a user is through the lesson).
