Heavily changed subtheme, better to create a theme?

Hi,

I've been working on a site based on openpublish for a while. The site is growing and the theme has changed very much, it actually looks nothing like the main openpublish theme. Im currently having an issue with IE7, the oldest browser we're supporting (we're running heavy jquery stuff, for instance) and the browser gets hammered everytime it loads my stylesheets, and the one cached from openublish.

override page-front.tpl.php with subtheme problems

I can't seem to override the page-front.tpl.php with my subtheme's page-front.tpl.php. I have tried deleting the main themes file but this does not make the subtheme's -front.tpl visible. I have followed the ardi procedure and created the folder page where i load the pages that need be overridden within the subtheme. I can override the other tpl pages but not the page-front.tpl.php.
Any suggestions, thanks

Acquia Marina Subtheme Help - Primary menu vertical alignment

Hi,

I'm developing a site at the moment and have hit a brick wall that has me going round in loops for weeks now.

Essentially I have a Acquia Marina subtheme that I have created. All works well except for one thing:

I have fixed width and height of the primary divs that contain the links to meet the design requirements.
My issue is that when there is a single line link it aligns to the top of the div. longer links wrap and are aligned vertically correctly (the font and line height allow them to appear vertically centre aligned).

From Zen to Starterkit... lost column layout

Hi all, I just started experimenting with my own Zen subtheme. A stupid problem I can't fix is I lost the 2 column layout in the original Zen theme when I changed to the subtheme. I thought these 2 were supposed to be identical at the start... My navigation now shows on the bottem of the page, after content. How can I solve this?

How to create a sub-theme of Acquia Marina?

Hi, I'm fairly new to Drupal but learning quickly. I am running a multi-site Drupal install on a VPS that will only house Drupal sites. I am using subdomains for the multi-site functionality, which is working fine, symbolic links and all.

Need advice

Hi all,
For a recent medical journal from uk [bjmp.org], I have created a subtheme based on Acquia Marina and everything is working ok except the lower end of "content" border appears broken. I want the main content window to also have a border like the sidebar blocks and have added the relevant code of blocks into the page.tpl.php

Not sure how to proceed further.
The only files that have been changed in subtheme folder is
1) page.tpl.php
2) style.css
