Where is Open Media headed?
There is a LOT of work being done with Open Media modules right now that is not being reflected on this list. On Drupal 7. A lot of things are in development, and I will only speak from my own experiences - but I'll post and hope others will add. Please correct any errors.
There really seem to be two aspects of the Open Media System that are being implemented concurrently.
1) Facility and Project Management through modules like MERCI and OM_Show.

Spurred by discussions at Drupal Camp Western Mass, where more stations wish to join the OMP, and following on from this post: Capturing Help Requests & Questions For Better Documentation it's time to do some more documentation updating.
If you know how to do any of these things, please either make a screencast and add it to openmedia.blip.tv (I can gave you the login info) or add it to the newly organized documentation on Drupal.org, like this Open Media Airing.

So I know this is something of a wide-ranging question but I was wondering if there were essential pieces I should know before trying out OM_Install+OM_Me? Seems to presently be the same moduleset kreynen mentioned in a previous post as OM_Lite.
I'm hoping to get CMAP to a point where they can begin using CiviCRM and OM_Project on a local dev install by next week and have enough information and configuration done for them to be able to move forward with MERCI deployment on their own.

Essentially: As this diagram shows the mpeg2 files on our Tightrope SX4 Cablecast can be converted to various web-friendly formats via a video encoder.

Similarly, /admin/build/modules shows channelAustin has 6.x-1.1, but again I'm assuming this is an incorrect pre-release version numbering.
Looks like there are 4 releases of OM Project since this was installed here.
Similar question: should we upgrade? Issues & concerns with that?
Also, I notice in the /modules/om_project/install/
is a file called stingoverride_import.txt
that should be stringoverride_import.txt, correct?
