We encourage users to post events happening in the community to the community events group on https://www.drupal.org.
This group should probably have more organizers. See documentation on this recommendation.

What are you Drupaling today?

Post a new discussion with a pic/screenshot and/or a link if you can (one discussion thread per person per particular day please). Show us what you're working on!

You may find out:
It's already been done - someone might have done what you're doing before but you just haven't happened to discover it yet
Other people working on similar - sometimes you're working on stuff which isn't online / not yet online which someone else might want or also be working on but you simply don't know
New stuff! - discover new modules, groups, designs, documents, etc. See what people are working on right now!

It only takes a minute, no need for massive posts unless you really feel it's absolutely necessary! Of course be aware of confidentiality issues if you're work happens to be for a client - ask them first if it's ok and anonymize any info you need to.

This group takes its inspiration from the wonderful "What I Wore Today" site by Poppy Dinsey.

Documentation bug in Drupal Core

I found an alarming comment in core/includes/theme.inc which seemed to advocate hacking core files, so I filed an issue about it.

Bug fixes in themesettings_extras project

Yesterday I fixed a couple of bugs on one of my contrib projects (Theme settings extras) then rolled a new 7.x-1.1 release. Which means it hit issue-queue-zero two weeks in a row, huzzah! Then I went to bed <8•)

Branching out with Aegir and Distributions

I recently spent a good amount of time developing a RFP for a small Arts related organization because the group was from my hometown and I personally liked what they stood for. After the proposal went through their decision making process the group decided to go with a different CMS.

Foray into Drupal Commerce

Today Steve, I have been theming a Drupal Commerce Kickstart 2 install.

I got so far and have now decided to read the omega documehtation.

Should I have created a new subtheme in sites/all or is it ok to fiddle with the one in the profile directory?

Time will tell. :D

DC Munich Shockwave

Wow, the effects of DC Munich have been, well not quite staggering, but impressive. We at #AberdeenCloud have returned to the office and gotten right back to work trying to break this thing! Seriously, DC Munich was a great experience, a great Con, and a great time, but the feedback for us at #AC has been tremendous. Now we are doing our very best to literally break our new PaaS. Why try to break it you ask? Simple! We want to know our clients will be getting the best! Anyway, that's what we're Drupaling today...

Organising BADCampUK; more Marketing Drupal group; network pruning

With less than three weeks to go until our second DrupalCamp in Brighton - a.k.a. BADCampUK - we desperately need more session submissions as there's only 3, with over 20 attendees signed up.

"Organise earlier!" I hear you say. Well, yes, that's the plan, but things as they are this is how it is. I created this second camp as I want to align our camp with the yearly Brighton Digital Festival (http://2012.brightondigitalfestival.co.uk/) so that it raises the profile within the digital community at large and not just the Drupalers.

Thinking about Drupal, F/LOSS and the Observer Effect (physics)

"I thought there would be more talks on X - I gave a session on X at our local camp recently and loads of people came!"

"Did you submit a session to the con?"

"No."

Paving a path for people to produce

Marketing is the process of meeting the demands of the market. For example, many want to learn Drupal, but how do they get there? Not everyone can afford to visit a DrupalCon, some can't see, speak or hear. Everyone has differing needs, and marketing is the role of bringing these two parties together in successful collaboration.

There are hundreds, if not thousands, of marketing people in our community but they currently have a tough job finding out how they can help out.
