Content Construction Kit (CCK)

If using more than one language the story is the following:

• the fields import via migrate content into D7 and display fine while viewing nodes
• going to edit node and all the fields are blank, no values are shown here, like creating a new node
• D7 field table rows have a column for language but instead of getting set to the proper language on import, the column is left as "und."

I have just convert my D6 cck module to D7. On the module page, I see a few CCK modules now package their modules under 'Fields'. I see a few others that are still packaged as 'CCK'. I was wondering what is the best practice on this issue.

Does anyone have a good compound field module with something like two fields, a text field and an integer, preferably supporting allowed fields and select widget for the text and prefix/suffix/max/min for the number and views support.

I've tried cck3 multigroup support and it isn't quite as nice as true compound fields.

I've been trying to make one myself based on the samples and docs out there and my programming skills are not quite up to snuff.

Hi all.

I recall from a presentation by Michelle Lauer (miche) during Drupalcon 2010, she indicated it's best to use a CCK textarea field for the node body to make it easier on themers.

However, in this case I will be the themer and I'm handing the site off to an experienced Drupaller to maintain the back end.

So what I wanted to open up for discussion here is: what other advantages or disadvantages are there to each approach?

We are trying to build multilingual sites for United Nations entities using Drupal7. We are still looking for the best modules/practices to accomplish a multilingual website. In wordpress, there is WPML and in Drupal there is the i18n which is still not available in 7. Anyway, please feel free to post and add comments to this discussion, it would be very helpful.

Hi there! New to Drupal. I need help.

What module(s) or resources are best to help me enable triple tags, where:
1. Each tag is composed of a subject, predicate, and object.
2. The subject, predicate, and object can be chosen by users from specific nodes on my site. Each field can suggest nodes as you type.
3. Two nodes with the same name can be differentiated by an ID or something.

My goal is to link my nodes into a linked graph that can be queried by something like views. I want to display the relationships between nodes (the graph).

I am converting a WordPress site to Drupal and we currently have an event registration form where you can signup / RSVP for an event. Anyone can go to the form and signup, you don't need to get invited or register on the site. I have looked at the Drupal Signup and CCK Signup modules but neither seems to do exactly what I need. With Signup, it seemed difficult to add custom fields and with CCK Signup, there was some question as to whether or not anonymous users could signup but documentation is lacking for the latter.

Hi all, I just created my first drupal site, and now I need to create the user registration form. I guess I have to do that from scratch eh? Seems like there would be a template or widget, as all the user regs that I have entered my own stuff into for this type of site are primarily the same:)

But I think I have to learn CKK and Views anyway, so my first question is where to do that? I live in Nepal and video is painful here, so a text tut would be best. My second question is this:

I need a nodereference kind of field, but with filters (filter by terms) built into node edit form to dynamically change the list of selection.

Eg:
User will select Category, Country, Package, click go and the selection list will filter according to the filters.
User then select the nodes to reference from the list.

He may choose to change the filters, and add on another set of nodes to the selections.
On submit, all the nodes selected will be saved as per nodereference module.
