Monthly meetings

The Central Denver meetup (DBUG) takes place on the 4th Tuesday of the month at Galvanize Denver - Platte.

DrupalCamp Colorado

The DrupalCamp Colorado (DCCO) organizers meet every Monday at 4pm MT. Meeting details and notes are always posted in the issue queue of the DCCO project on drupal.org. Anyone is welcome to join! For more information, reach out to Nick Switzer (@switzern) in the #drupal-colorado Slack channel.

Get up to speed on Drupal 8 at a free one-day conference Friday, March 11. In the morning, we'll focus on the major differences between Drupal 7 and Drupal 8. During the afternoon, we'll put into practice some of what we've learned in an instructional hands-on session.

Some experience with Drupal is helpful but not required. If you have limited Drupal experience, feel free to come just for the morning and gain knowledge about key features of Drupal 8.

Agile is about as polarizing as Donald Trump—people either love it or hate it. In this talk, Andy Walters makes the case for loving it by uncovering the fundamental reasons agile works for developers. He’ll cover the biggest reasons projects fail and how agile addresses them. Specific topics include prototyping, estimation, scrum concepts (standups, sprints, timeboxing, etc.), the much-debated concept of story points, and how your organization can become agile. Drupal 8 has revitalized my personal interest in development and rapidly increased the speed of my deployments. But... it took a lot of learning to get there. The infamous "Drupal learning curve" may bend even steeper for some with the move to OOP in core.
