A number of people and organizations in and around France have shown an interest in organizing the next European edition of DrupalCon in Paris, France. This group centralizes this effort and all the people involved.
Le projet d'organiser la prochaine édition européenne du DrupalCon à Paris suscite l'enthousiasme des membres (particuliers ou entreprises) de la communauté française. Ce groupe a pour but de rassembler les personnes impliquées dans le projet afin de centraliser l'effort d'organisation.
DrupalCon: Day Care
We announced that we will take care of your children, if you would like to bring them.
We also announced that you need to fill in the section in you personal profile, once you registered.
All of this is still true. :)
However, there was a mistake with the default number of children and, therefore would like you, attendees, to check the information again.
For any information, that you would like us to have and consider, please enter it in the specified fields.

The scholarship deadline has been extended, as we believe that more time is required.
The new deadline is July 1st to be able to hand in everything that is needed to convince the jury.

You can start right away to write your session proposals and apply as a speaker for the DrupalCon Paris.
Simply have a look on the schedule to already get an overview of the tracks and approximate times.
Once this is clear for you, submit a session (you need to be registered) and choose your track for which you would like to hold a presentation, a BoF or a panel.
IT Rockstar 2009 comes to DrupalCon Paris
There are so many creative ways to attend the DrupalCon Paris and see the wonders within the Drupal Community live.
Josh Waihi, an active Drupalist and winner of 2009 of the New Zealand “geek” competition IT Rockstar rocked the stage to be with us this September.

We have commited the final decision at http://drupalcamp.de/ and decided, not to write a proposal for a DrupalCon 2009, but to support Maastricht with activities.
We will achieve this in the form of manpower at the spot but also with our previous requests for http://drupalcamp.de/sponsoren and sponsors with whom we have so far only in discussion.
The decision to support Maastricht is from the proximity and the already advanced state of planning of
http://groups.drupal.org/drupalcon-maastricht-2009 arisen, where we wanted no further internal community competition.
Inclusion of non participant activities in proposal
To make the proposal more appealing to those travelling from outside of France, especially for non participating partners and family should we dedicate a portion of our proposal towards this subject.
On talking to my non drupal wife these were her thoughts:

Its great to see a proposal coming for Drupalcon Paris!!! You guy have a great community.
To let you know the deadline for Drupalcon Europe proposals is January 31st. We want to make this decision as early as possible so that the organizer have time to prepare for the conference.
