With the new PDO-based database API now in core (yay!), there are a number of follow-up tasks that need to be taken care of. They were left out of the original patch for a variety of reasons, mostly keeping the already massive patch from becoming even more massive. :-)

Drupal nominated as Best Business Application in LinuxWorld Product Excellence Awards

Drupal has been nominated as one of the three best business applications for the LinuxWorld product Excellence Awards. Starting tomorrow, the judges will be visiting the Drupal booth at LinuxWorld to take a look at Drupal and see how it helps businesses. We were up against a lot of competition and it's great to be nominated in such a competitive field.
