To help group organizers meet eachother and share their knowledge, tips & ticks for organizing and motivating drupal groups i've launched a new drupal irc channel #drupal-groups.
I encourage everyone to join this channel to discuss how to improve user participation in drupal groups and other helpful information.
I strongly encourage group members to join in on the discussion because group organizers are doing this for YOU. Having your feedback on various issues will help us greatly improve different aspects of the group that matter to you most.
SEE YOU THERE!

Why don't we use #DrupalNYC?

Thanks Oleg
drupal-groups centralizes discussion about GDO on one IRC channel. It should make for a very lively channel. Thanks Oleg.
The intent behing
The intent behing #drupal-groups is to reach out to organizers (and hopefully members) from other groups and to hear what they have to say. #DrupalNYC still remains NYC's primary IRC channel and will continue to operate as it was while #drupal-groups will serve as a neutral ground for everyone.

Neat Idea
Nice Idea, hopefully it will turn into something useful. Might I suggest adding the Druplicon-bot added to the channel, and probably IRSeek so that any useful discussions can be easily searched?
