To educate, network, and collaborate with other web site builders in the High Desert. It is our mission to promote the use of Drupal to local web developers and web designers, as well as educate up and coming web professionals.

Meetup October 2008 - At McDonalds in Apple Valley
The High Desert Drupal group meets every month. This local group is a nice place for people to learn and talk about Drupal, a world popular content management system (CMS). We also plan to talk about web development in general, covering all aspects from planning, design, development, and maintaining a web site. RSVP is not required and attendance is free. Tell all your friends!
What are we going to talk about?
Tom Friedhof will cover installing Drupal and the key modules that pretty much every Drupal site needs. We got a small taste of how easy it is to get up and running with Drupal last month. This month we'll go a little more in depth and take some time to explain and answer questions. Come to the meeting with questions in hand if there was something that was confusing from last months presentation.
We'll also go over how to use drupal.org, groups.drupal.org, and how to stay up to date with everything Drupal, including subscribing to podcasts, blogs, etc... This should be a good meeting for anyone brand new to Drupal, and thirsty to drink the Drupal Kool-Aid.
