Welcome to the multi-user blogging group, a place to share ideas about Drupal and multi-user blogging environments. Examples of such projects are hosted solutions like Drupal Gardens and distributions like Drupal Commons and Aegir.
Recent Comments block: with or without node title?
I just added the Recent Comments block on http://drupalmu.org and I'm wondering if I should include the node title with the comment subject. Drupal doesn't provide this by default and personally I find that it makes the block look really cluttered.
Here are two examples of sites that do provide this information:

BlogOrlando @ Rollins College, Orlando, FL
Voce Communications, in partnership with Rollins College will host the third edition of this FREE event that was open to bloggers and non-bloggers alike from Florida and anywhere else. We bring together a good cross-section of folks to discuss blogging, podcasting, public relations, social media, citizen's journalism and other related topics. The event was as much a social/family gathering as it is a 'work' gathering.
Past Keynote Sessions include Shel Israel and Chris Heuer, along with organizer Josh Hallet. This year's lineup has grown from one to four to five sessions (now in the third year).
Check http://www.BlogOrlando.com for details and updates.

Read moreabout drupalmu's url
i've been setting up my drupal website recently, and i want it to be as a multi-users blog, everything go well, but i dont know how to design the url... for example, a user has a uid valued '110', and i have two links, one is 'xxx.xxx.com/?q=uid/$arg',another is 'xxx.xxx.com/?q=gallerix/$arg', as far as i know, the menu system can't accept argumets, what i want to ask is when i click 'xxx.xxx.com/?q=uid/110', how does the system change 'xxx.xxx.com/?q=gallerix/$arg' to 'xxx.xxx.com/?q=gallerix/110'.
that's it.maybe i could describe it more clearly.
The status of DrupalMU and prospects for DrupalCon2008 Boston
I am very interested in DrupalMU and I am interested in learning from your experiences.
I have been working on an Installation Profile for an out-of-the-box community site (http://www.shareduniverse.net).
So here are some questions that someone might be able to answer.
General
- What is the status of DrupalMU?
Installation Profiles
- I think it is characterized not as a contributed module but as an Installation Profile of a bunch of modules. Is that right?
- If so, is DrupalMU going to be a part of Drupal 6? Drupal 7?
Default themes to include with DrupalMU
It would be great if we can include about 6 themes. I was thinking for instance about these:

Blogrolls
The definition as per wikipedia:
A list of blogs. A blogger features a list of their favorite blogs in the sidebar of their blog.
I wonder now what the best way, technically, is to allow each user his/her own blogroll. I'm thinking about a content type "blogroll" with the links module of which the user can only create one. A small module is included that created a block out of this content.

It's very important that DrupalMU ships with a WYSIWYG. If we want to make things as easy as possible, this would mean that using TinyMCE or FCKeditor is out of the question: we can't have our user download an extra package from an external site, put it in a specific location and then do some more configuration.
Update I think I found a perfect candidate for a WYSIWYG shipping with DrupalMU: BUEditor (thanks Michelle!). It requires no extra libraries to be installed, has a teaser break and it integrates with IMCE!
