BDUG: 8/27: Michelle Ziegmann on Online Course Features
Next Monday, Michelle Ziegmann (UC Berkeley Educational Technology Services) will cover some advanced site building techniques. I recently launched a site for an online course that featured a game-based pedagogical approach. The game is designed to facilitate an actively engaged community of peers focused on student artwork and internet citizenship. Through their activities in the site, students earn "badges" that indicate their progress in the course.

BDUG -- 7/23: Responsive Web Theming with Zen 5, Sass, and Compass
Earlier this year, John Albin gave a presentation to BDUG on "Rethinking responsive building techniques with Drupal."
This session is a follow-up to John's presentation where I'll get into some of the details of Responsive Web Theming with Zen 5, Sass, and Compass.
Topics will include:
- What is "responsive web" again, and what does a responsive website look like?
- What is a media query, and how do I use one in a Drupal theme?
- Benefits of using Zen 5 as a base theme
- Benefits of Sass and Compass, and how to get started
No BADCamp meeting tonight
This is just a reminder that there will be no BADCamp meeting tonight, July 9th, because there is a SFDUG meetup at the Chapter Three office.
We will be holding BADCamp meeting #6 on Monday July 16th, at 6pm.

BDUG: 6/25: Jen Lampton on Total Control Admin Dashboard
Drupalers:
This month we have Jen Lampton of Jeneration Web Development speaking on her Total Control Admin Dashboard. This is gonna be good. Don't miss it. Here's the skinny:
There are a lot of administrative interfaces in Drupal. Site architects have a hard time finding their way around, but imagine how it must feel for a lowly administrator who only wants to change some of their categories, or review submitted comments.
Have you heard your clients ask you questions like these:
"Where do I go to do that?"
"Is that section under structure or content?"

Thanks to our friends at ChapterThree, we've snared "Drupal-famous" speaker John Albin this month. This promises to be a great session including responsive strategies in Drupal 7 and a look at where things are heading in Drupal 8.
We’ve had over a year to think about how “Responsive web design”
affects us. The relatively straightforward techniques described in
Ethan Marcotte’s book and A List Apart article won’t be covered in
this session. Instead, we’ll think about the limitations we’ve placed
on ourselves with our current building techniques and how to break
