Hi There. I am new to Zen, but see where it's going.

I love that I can over-write any core css files in a sub theme. I am working on one right now an fining it difficult to identify the hierarchy, and location of the elementary to style the primary-nav. Any insights or resources are much appreciated. Anyone else having issues?

Have you tried firebug plugin for firefox. I find it indispensable for finding just the right element to style. You can even change it live in firebug then apply it to the style sheet. Use the inspect menu item to select the element, then browse the styles for that element in the style window. If you're using it already then disregard this.

hi, lipcpro - Do you know how, or where on Firebug I could find out exactly which style sheet I need to change to alter the look of only one tab in my nav bar? See my post here: How do I make one tab in primary nav (Zen-based theme) look different? ... I'm stumped. thanks so much! -gg

The particular stylesheet to use doesn't matter according to the computer (this is mostly true). You should choose a stylesheet which will make the most logical sense to you and other humans, or do what I like to do and create a whole new stylesheet for your changes.

Also, if you're running D6, you might check out the Theme Dev module (part of devel), to help out further with identifying where values are coming from.

Can I get a what what for Google Chrome too?

If you don't feel like installing Firebug for whatever reason, Google's new browser Chrome (very similar to Firefox) has a Firebug-like feature called "Inspect Element" that you can access by right-clicking on the page in Chrome. I still use Firefox for most things, but I've gotten very used to doing almost all of my web programming in Chrome because of this feature.

EULA

I think Chrome is really fast and I like the tab features, but was dissapointed by the whole EULA thing. I know it was probably a mistake on their part, but I still think this comic is pretty funny: http://broadstuff.com/archives/1203-Chrome-EULA-the-Comic.html

Oh and lets not forget about: http://drupal.org/project/drupalforfirebug
