Jag har en nyhets-nodtyp med ett vokabulär med distrikt. Dessa skulle jag vilja automatiskt listas under nyhetssidan under varje respektive disrikt, dock vill jag inte att menyn skall skriva ut alla nyheter (de kan ju bli väldigt många). Jag vill alltså både ha en menu item per nyhet och inte på samma gång. Jag vill ju ha att cookietrails aktiva föräldrar menyval osv. visar att nyheten ligger på rätt plats, men utan att menyn kanske skriver ut 100 tals menuitems. Tänker jag helt fel? Skulle vilja ha "visa inte den här menuitemet".

My problem is with the menu system where I do not want to show menuitems for a particular content type.
I think that I have to create menu items for all news nodes to get the correct parent menuitem selected, but then again I don't want to see these news node's menuitems in the menu. Maybe I'm missing an easier solution? I tried using context, but there seems to be a problem with the active menu item reaction.
How is setup the content type
How is setup the content type menu system? to be automatic setting? What drupal we're talking about? D7 or D6 ? (is good to know)

Use the template system
Use the template system and suggestions. Example in page--[content-type].tpl.php remove the default menu variable, write your own menu function in the template.php, write a variable for the new menu in template.php, the write the variable to page--[content-type].tpl.php
The default menu is still available if you need it to get a parent container this way but it will only show what you pull from it.

Det ser ut som din meny är ganska statisk? Kan du bygga upp den för hand? Stockholm länkar till en nod eller term eller hur du nu vill ha det. Nyheter under Stockholm kan länka till taxonomy/term/[term_id_för_stockholm]/news
Använd Panels för att ta emot taxonomy/term/[term-id]/news. Skapa sedan en vy som har ett kontextuellt filter för taxonomi term id och använd den i panelen du skapade. Skicka vidare argumentet från panelen till vyn.
Nu har du menyn uppbyggd med bara stockholm->nyheter, göteborg->nyheter etc.
För att få breadcrumbsen att fungera så kan du använda http://drupal.org/project/custom_breadcrumbs

Har nu hittat den perfekta lösningen
Efter att jag hade hackat lite med tules så hade jag en fungerande lösning där jag "disablade" menuitems när jag skapade eller uppdaterade nyhets-noder. Dock så blev menyträdet väldigt stort med många nyheter, men så av en slump så hittade jag i morse den perfekta modulen för mig: Menu position (http://drupal.org/project/menu_position).
Den löser alla mina problem på ett perfekt sätt. Den aktiverar menysystemet så att rätt parent menuitem är vald för mina nyhetsnoder, men skapar inte ett nytt menuitem för dem. Problem solved! Tack för all er hjälp och tid!
