I'm not sure how best to phrase want I want, making it hard to search for, so here goes;
Is this leaching?
The site www.thedigitel.com has Yahoo weather displayed at the top of the page. I believe thedigitel uses an older module for drupal 5.x (http://drupal.org/project/yahoo_weather) to place Yahoo's weather RSS feed in a block (example http://weather.yahooapis.com/forecastrss?p=USPA0500&u=f ). But of course I'm using drupal 6.13, and it appears that the drupal 5 yahoo_weather module is not planned to be implemented for 6.x.
I found the module yahoo_weather_forecast (http://drupal.org/project/yahoo_weather_forecast) for 6.x, but I like the smaller and simpler look thedigitel's implementation much better.
I'm not sure how I would filter out the RSS content that isn't needed either.
Any suggestions? Besides contacting thedigitel.com and user khawkins98 (tried that already).

You have two choices here.
1) If you don't wanna some fields to be appeared on the block, just uncheck it.
if its related to themeing, and could not be done just with css, write a custom hook_block and catch all things there.
2) If you wanna more information then what is provided, you have to do some coding.

Pretty simple module
It would be pretty easy to adapt http://drupal.org/fbstatus to do what you want: Fetch the RSS item, format a nice result, stick it in a cache table, and make it available as a block. I'd do it for you myself but I'm majorly overloaded right now.

Beautifulmind - I was hoping to avoid coding (as I am a novice at drupal/css/etc,) , but ultimately it looks like I might have too.
