A major release of Norwegian Bokmål translation is now available. This is of course a 100% translation of the Drupal core brought to you by Drupal Norge.
There are more than 1000 changes in this norwegian release based from Skolelinux' wordlist and norwegian bokmål rules stated by Språkrådet. This is the reason why we have to release a major version 2.0.

Productive bunch!
I'm impressed at the efficiency of you translators, thanks a lot for the hard work! I came across some issues in the previous version, most of which are probably fixed by now. Will take a look at version 2.0 and report any issues I come across.
Is there a discussion on what expressions and terms we should use in the Norwegian translation? The Skolelinux wordlist doesn't always fit the context of Drupal in my opinion. I'll be happy to help out in that discussion :)

First and foremost, we would like to extend our gratitude....thanks for the kind compliment!
Secondly, changes in Norwegian Bokmål 5.x-2.0 are mostly standardization.
Prime examples are changing all instances of words such as:
as well as:
and a whole lot more. Most importantly, we started localizing the norwegian file to Norway. Norwegian Bokmål 5.x-2.0 is not only a norwegian translation of Drupal but a Norwegian localization of Drupal. We are way past translating, it's time to localize :-)
So, if your issues are grammatical or typographical in nature, there is a strong possibility that your issues can still be there.
Regarding a wordlist, there is one. I am very much aware of the non-compatibility of most of the words from Skolelinux' wordlist, that is why we are releasing a specialized wordlist meant for standardizing norwegian translations of Drupal. The wordlist file and more will be available once we have launched the download page early next week. Once the wordlist is released, we can then start a discussion at the Developers' Forum at Drupal Norge if there are disagreements in the wordlist.
Lastly (but not at all the least!), a message to everyone: there's now just very little work for us to achieve a final Norwegian Bokmål language file. So if just everybody send us their corrections after we have released the wordlist, then we can release the final version. By coming up with a final version, it will also be very easy for us to provide the norwegian Drupal community with language files for future Drupal versions. Also to clarify the possible confusion, note that the correct URL address of Drupal Norge is http://www.drupalnorge.no.
