The first ever Devsigner Conference is happening here in Portland! Devsigner is a brand new event that will bring together frontend developers and technology-oriented designers and invite them to share their expertise, helping them take frontend development to the next level. We will be using Drupal as an assumed base platform, but since frontend development isn’t tied to a particular backend our audience includes any frontend dev and web-focused designer.

I'm going to be in the Milwaukie area tomorrow (4/9), and have about five hours - from 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM - where I need to find a place to work. I have a meeting that gets done at 10:30 AM, and then I need to be back in Oak Grove at 4:30, and in between I don't want to come all the way back out to the east edge of Gresham and then back again. Does anyone have or know of a space where I could plant myself for that time in that area? All I need is an internets connection and a desk.
Thanks

I've just registered for DrupalCon Austin 2014 and my sweetheart is coming with me. Does anyone have hints or thoughts on where to stay? I want a place that is lower cost but still nice and close and/or convenient to the Convention Center. Looking In Google/Shopping, some hotels are pretty close and others are a couple of miles away. Does anyone know what to expect in the way of shuttle services? Is public transit in Austin likely to be useful? Are cabs likely to be available? Can I rent a bike for the week?

Hello,
I created a mini-book (ie PDF) about Drupal and Varnish based on my experiences/lessons learned working on some pretty big sites.
I'm looking for feedback on it--I didn't really make it for me :) I made it in the hopes that it would be useful to the community at large; so please let me know what you think.

Ditch the rain and enjoy some sun for a weekend!
I am planning on attending GLADCamp 2014 and would like to extend an invitation to the rest of those in the Portland area. My current plans are to fly, but if there is enough interest, I'd entertain the idea of driving to lessen the cost for everyone. I would personally love to put together a PDX team to compete in the Extreme Drupal Games (aka the "Golden Neckbeard" competition) for GLADCamp 2014. Please comment or contact me if interested!
