Aegir is a distributed provisioning system for Drupal that allows you to manage thousands of sites across as many concurrent instances of Drupal on as many servers as you need. It's built on Drupal itself, so that your user interface to the system becomes a 'meta-drupal' site, with nodes representing all of your hosted sites and all of the components of your hosting environment.
Miguel Jacq, a member of the development team, will provide a thorough overview into the various features / functions of using Aegir, demonstrating live examples of creating, cloning and migrating (upgrading) sites and various Drupal distributions.
Time-permitting, there will also be an overview of the vigorous development leading up to, during and after DrupalCon SF, along with tips and resources for developers interested in getting involved.

Cool!
I signed up here and at Gotomeeting.com before looking at the date/time (silly me). Not sure I can make that time, but I will still try. Thanks for hosting something like this!
Sessions are recorded and released via creative commons
For the most part (unless something goes terribly wrong) we've been recording all Dojo sessions and releasing them under a creative commons license. These are a couple of the places where you'll find them -
http://drupal.org/user/22137
http://drupaldojo.blip.tv/
That said, the Drupal Dojo and Drupal Kata (our project-based learning program) love and use Aegir, so this probably will be the first of many sessions on the topic.

Cool +1
I'm not sure I can make this but I hope I can catch up on it by video. Very cool topic.
GoToMeeting not Linux friendly
I registered, but gotomeeting told me that my system, Ubuntu, isn't supported and that I should use a compatible system, Win/Mac, when attending the webinar. I guess I'll be watching the recorded session.
Not a big problem really, but it would be great if you could find a webinar service that's truly multi platform.
Thanks.
GoToMeeting -1
I run a Linux desktop too, so I'll be watching the recorded version.
You might want to consider using dimdim in future. dimdim is a GPLd, cross platform alternative to GoToMeeting. I haven't tried it and there have been mixed reviews of it.
They also offer a hosted version too - see http://www.dimdim.com/products/what_is_dimdim.html for more info.
Sorry for hijacking the topic.
Break a leg Miguel!
I too run Linux
Something which probably isn't to uncommon in Aegir circles.
But there is hope for us Linux user aswell :)
I've attended several gotomeetings before, using KVM and virtualizing windows.
Always works flawless for me.
Dimdim not totally Linux friendly either
Unfortunately this is a problem with many webconferencing solutions. We actually used dimdim almost exclusively last year and there are some flaws that have prevented us from renewing the pro version right now. Aside from the Linux issues, which obviously is a big problem for a lot of Drupalers, GoToMeeting has been pretty solid. The video will be posted here a few hours after the session for those who can't attend.

You must definitely make some sort of thing for the GNU / Linux users plz . Guys please don't forget to give the link of the podcast , so I / people like me can watch the video .
Thanks once again and have a great session .
