Zen 0.7 and roadmap for 1.0

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

I went through the issue queue last weekend and fixed nearly all of the bugs. To make it easier for everyone to kick the tires, I made a new release, Zen 0.7. So please stress test it.

The remaining important issues that I will tackle soon are:

  1. Create starter theme; migrate current style to a sub-theme: http://drupal.org/node/171464
  2. Slightly better sub-theme support (but not as good as Zengine): http://drupal.org/node/169359
  3. Release Zen 0.8 the base theme was too skeletal and uninformative to warrent an actual release
  4. Content-first source rendering order: http://drupal.org/node/121991
  5. Start accepting sub-theme submissions
  6. oversize content causes IE6 layout breakage: http://drupal.org/node/110897
  7. Release Zen 0.9 Release Zen 0.8
  8. Bug fixes and sub-theme submissions
  9. Release Zen 1.0

This is the order of tasks I will be tackling. Note that content-first source rendering (#4) will automatically fix #5 in the main layout.css. So #5 will just be a fix for the Zen-classic sub theme (created during #1.)

What does everyone think?

The order makes sense. Let us know when to test.
