May Frontend Meetup -- Canceled -- seeking new Leader
I am canceling the frontend meetup again this month and stepping down as the leader of this meetup. I simply do not have the bandwidth to continue leading this group.
It would be great to keep it running, because I think it's been an asset to our community.
If one of you wonderful people wants to step in, awesome, let's keep on doing cool stuff. If not, we'll suspend the meetups for the time being.

Since there won't be a frontend meetup tonight, here's something that might interest you: Today is Global Accessibility Awareness Day, with events happening worldwide.
While there isn't an event in Portland, there is a free, online 24-hour set of presentations called Inclusive Design 24, focusing on the intersection of web design/frontend and accessibility.

Join us next Wednesday, June 10th for a few presentations talking about a few Basics in the Drupal world that might not be so basic to many.
Michael Prasuhn (https://www.drupal.org/u/mikey_p) will talk for a bit about how to "vet" a module. There are literally thousands of modules out there, so how is one to determine if it's the right one for your project? Find out!
Jonathan Hedstrom (https://www.drupal.org/u/jhedstrom) will also talk for a bit about Drush. What is this Drush thing and why should I care? (Hint: type a few words and magic!)

Join us for the June edition of Brewpal! On the fourth Tuesday of each month, we get together to work on projects, ask questions of our fellow Drupalers and have a pint.
As you may know, this year we've been rotating the venue of the Brewpal meetup. The criteria includes free wi-fi, a large public space that's family friendly, bar service (rather than table service), all while being close-in and easy to get to by public transit. This month (June 23rd), Brewpal will take place at Ecliptic Brewing (825 N Cook St).

Powerful Non-Defensive Communication with Sharon Ellison
I've talked with several people over the last few months about Sharon Ellison's work. Donna Benjamin and I have conspired to get Sharon to offer a workshop on Friday, July 17.
This workshop is for you if you've ever:
- played and replayed a conversation in your head and wished you could do it differently
- lain awake at night planning your response to a particularly difficult issue or post
- wished you could do a better job of saying no
