The radio group is for traditional and web based broadcasters who use Drupal for their website. Bugs, features and other discussion about the development of the station module are highly encouraged.

Dj Editing Program Page? Also I may have a job for you

I've got Station installed, and part of it up and running. It was my understanding that the DJ associated with a particular program was able to Edit their own program page? I logged in as one of the dj's, went to their program page, but didn't see any sort of edit option...am I missing something simple?

ALSO: I am an Americorps volunteer assigned to a community station in Dallas. I'd very much like to get the stream/ripping/archive features going, but it is beyond my ken. If there is anyone who would like to take on this job for me, I'd be willing to pay a fair price for the work.

Archive functionality? What am I missing?

I have station working great for a small net radio station here in Portland, OR - except for the archive module.

I've double-checked the paths in ripper.inc, have configured it through the admin interface of Drupal, have cron running hourly, streamripper is installed, etc., but no shows are being archived.

The link to past shows is showing up in program nodes, but the shows simply aren't being archived.

How do I troubleshoot this / and or is there a step-by-step guide already out there somewhere?

Well, I went ahead and installed Station, and entered in all of the shows. I KNOW that somewhere I saw a spot to enter the url of the stream address, but cannot for the life of me find it again?

If I want to record an archive (I installed Audio and enabled the archive) is all I need the url of the stream? As far as I can tell it is http://player.warpradio.com/asx.asp?id=9669 ...does that look right? Anything else I need to enable or do?

Now Playing Functionality

I am a Vista volunteer assigned to a community radio station in Dallas. I don't think that the 'staff' of the station will do what is required to really use the station module after I leave, but I do want to offer the 'now playing' functionality for them?

I have a 'schedule' of shows that has a day (text format) and time (time and date format), and I think what I'd want is a block which asked/displayed:

If today is Monday...select Monday from Schedule
select Now (time) and display show that has that time slot ???

Thanks to a long summer of patches, WKDU Philadelphia 91.7fm decided it was time to update to D6, and simultaneously underwent a complete rebranding.

Is Station being updated for Drupal 7, or even available for 6.x yet? It's currently marked as "Drupal 4.7.x · Drupal 5.x" on the Handbook page.

Installation Issues of Station

Ok after a year of considering Station I have finally installed it and ready to use it for my Internet Radio Network, however I have some issues with install. I am not a programmer but with instructions I can manage:

I don't know what possessed me but I have installed Drupal in it's own directory so when I go to my Url I do not get Drupal-how do I change that?

An instance of Drupal was installed on http://realcoachingradio.net

Full installation path: /home/realcoac/public_html/drupal

Public URL: http://realcoachingradio.net/drupal/

Archives not being named, and two hours out. Any suggestions?

Hi, I've recently taken over the tech side of things here at Rossland Radio (www.rosslandradio.com). I've been left with a few problems though, and not much help from the past web guy.

I haven't had a lot of experience with drupal, and only a little with FreeBSD. I do have a lot of general experience though.

Is Station module is my right destination? Please advice.

Currently we have our website www.brajdhamsewa.org in joomla CMS. I have been doing a lot of research in Drupal and found it very powerful and possibilities. I understand that learning Drupal is not a steep curve. You learn with time.

I've got everything set up and all of the other needed modules in place with no error messages. The only one I'm getting is when I try to add an uploaded audio file to a playlist by clicking the 'add to playlist'. It says:

How do you monitize your stations?

I'm wondering what kinds of stations people are running who use drupal and the station module as your front end.

Looking at most of the site links that I see in poster's signatures, I see many of them are college radio station, or seemingly other non-profit stations.

Is there anybody out there who is a for-profit station? Or at least do not have your bandwidth funded or subsidized from an organization such as university.

Anybody using Centova Cast on the backend?

Hello,

I have a site setup that runs an icecast2 server on the backend. I'm using Centova Cast (http://www.centova.com) on the backend as well to see listener stats and schedule an auto-dj and playlists when we don't have a live show.

I'm using Drupal on the front end with the station module.

I use the On Air block to show what show is playing when we have live scheduled DJs, but I would like to display the song name in this block when Centova's auto-dj function is running.

This is my first attempt at installing the Station module/s
I have every single module it requires and the rest! installed and enabled
Honestly, i don't even know how to use half of them but they are required right, including these station mods

The last mod i instaled was the cck, so i enabled all of those and everything else, and getting the following error:

Error with ripper.php of the Station Module

I have an installation of the 5.x-2.0 version of the station module and I am currently trying to get the archive part set up. I installed Streamripper at /streamripper on my server, and the import directory is located at /www/SITE/sites/default/modules/station/archive/import. Both of these paths have been changed in the ripper.inc file.

When I run ripper.php, I get the following error:

X-Powered-By: PHP/5.2.9
Content-type: text/html

Cannot write to the import directory ''.

Hello everybody,

I've been trying to get some help on multiple issues i'm facing with the audio and station modules .

These are the facts:

I've got an akamaized storage folder where all of the audio (mp3) files are currently located. The files should stay there (OUTSIDE of drupal's 'files' directory).
The files don't have any id3 tags in them. Their filename is coded like: " , .mp3" (e.g. "20090308 John Doe, Jane Doe.mp3")
The files are also using Greek (iso8859-7) characters.

Garrett congrats on the launch of KHUM. We're knee deep in developing a Drupal radio distribution for public media stations as part of our work on a Knight grant for the News Challenge. We are also using the current release of station but finding that we need to make modifications based our needs as it relates to shows and the schedule display.

"Previous Shows" not showing the playlists

I'm trying to get the playlists that I create to show under the Program's page where it would say "Previous Shows", but I can't seem to figure out where that would be for me to make that happen.
