I just saw this Drupal Case Study about Sandusky Radio: 11 Stations, 1 CMS on Drupal.org and thought you all might be interested. What I find especially interesting is this:
Read moreThe center of what a radio station site does is the ability to display what’s On Air now and what is next on the playlist. How to create a recently played list of songs
Hi everyone,
I'm working on a station site for our college radio station, and wanted to share how I created a View that lists recently played songs, with the most recently played on top (trying to mimic something like on (http://thecurrent.org). You could also modify this to make a "now playing" block that shows the first song in the list, aka the song playing right now.
To drupal power developers, this may seem obvious, but I'm new to drupal and thinking that anyone else with similar experience to mine might find this helpful

Advanced scheduler discussed at Drupalcon?
During the Drupalcon Radio BOF someone discussed a scheduler they had built for a TV station that had a three-level structure (program, episode, instance), does anyone know who that was? Thanks.

Hi!
This is my first post on this site, so I hope this is the right place to ask questions. Basically I have a drupal 6 site and added the station module. I now want to alter the looks of the station schedule table to fit the design of the website. I could not really wrap my head around the things I found via google and I'm not too familiar with drupal theming in general.
I would really appreciate it, if someone could give me short instructions how i can add css-classes to the different table elements of the station schedule.
best regards
Günther

If you have come to this group looking for help with the station module please read the documentation page first. It is listed on the station module page under Resources it is titled Read documentation. It will take you to the station module documentation page.
Also at this point there are only 7 pages of topics in the Radio Group to look through. Some of the older ones contain helpful information too.
Read moreStation Module: Details on how to set-up Station/Archive Audio with XMLRPC a separate site for archiving?
We have been using the Station and Audio modules for years on Drupal 5 and just migrated to Drupal 6. We use the audio archive module and works fine. We need to off load our archived audio (aka podcasts) to another server with a lot of storage (our Dreamhost) while keeping our main web server on an EC2 instance and keep our costs down.
I have been trying to find instructions:

Read moreAn MP3 or m3u streaming player for Drupal 7
Is there a Drupal 7 module that would play a streaming mp3 or m3u URL to somekind of player. Perhaps the jplayer (http://www.jplayer.org/latest/demos/)
I was thinking of just using a text field, then theming in the jplayer ( or some other ) audio player... but not going to start until I confirm someone else has not already done it.
Also looking for some feedback on it.
perhaps another audio player that I should look at.
Just to be clear... the setup would include a URL... and not include doing a file upload.

I installed Station module for D6
It is really like I can't yet make out what it is supposed to do.
1. I have installed the module and configured it
2. I have created schedules, programs and play list
3. Naturally I expected audio output from the website since the programs are on
4. But...... nothing ! (aaaaarrrgh !!..can you believe this ?!!)
Apparently the function of this module is just to create a schedule, and program for site visitors to see , right ? .But what is the point of the playlist when it doesn't play ? Hmmmn.

Hi all -
I'd love to have a chance to meet you and talk radio and drupal, so I've put a post on the Drupalcon forums about a radio BOF. http://chicago2011.drupal.org/forum/radio-bof
I'm a rank newbie as far as Drupalcons go, but I'll organize this (and by organize, I mean, put the BOF on the board and facilitate).
Please chime in on the forum if you're interested!
Read moreAudio module: Upgrade v5 to v6
Any stations out there want to share their experience with upgrade of Station from v5 to v6? Particularly with focus on the Audio module. Are you continuing to use the Audio module? Any issues? Or are you using a different media module?
With 5.x officially unsupported, we are looking to move from Drupal v5 to v6. We have over 5 years of News audio segments uploaded using Audio v5 module. So we are a little concerned with how these will move over to v6. I have read that the current v6 Audio module is unstable, so we are looking for feedback/guidance from the community here. Should we keep using Audio for v6, or is there a better module?
Thanks in advance!

I have started to build a drupal music site and i have spent so much time trying to figure what modules to use. I considered the unstable "Audio" module but decided since it is not updated. I want my users (local artists) to be able to upload their music and sometimes a whole album (which will include album art, lyrics). And then display a discography page like this MyPlay heavenly goodness here --> http://myplay.com/music/david-cook/david-cook

Simple Radio Schedule
I want to build a site for my local community radio station in Drupal 7 (specifically want to try out D7 - so don't mind using dev versions of contrib modules were necessary).
The requirements are basic with the only dynamically changing content on the site being the display in a block of the show currently on air show and a picture of the presenter of that show. And a view of the schedule of shows during the week.
It would be good for each show to have it's own page where there can be blog and other custom content for that show.
