Welcome to the Southern Colorado User Group (SCUG). We work with other Drupal users and developers throughout southern Colorado to
- promote Drupal in southern Colorado and the Colorado Springs area
- educate local Drupal users in front-end and back-end design and development
- provide a common setting for general discussion and conferences regarding Drupal
Initial Drupal Camp 2009 Planning Meeting
In our wrap-up meeting immediately following camp this year, it was decided to start planing much earlier for next year's camp. That planning starts this Thursday at 6:30 ... one week before Denver DBUG. Plan on 1 to 2 hours. Anyone interested in helping plan next year's camp is welcome.
By the end of this meeting, we should have a broad idea of days, dates, venues, tracks, and other particulars. We will come up with some poll questions to get greater community input on specifics and assign some responsibilities to ensure things continue to move forward.

Barcamp Boulder
BarCamp is an ad-hoc gathering born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment. It is an intense event with discussions, demos and interaction from participants. Not all discussions will be about Drupal, or about web development in general; however, the current attendee list includes many web developers, designers, entrepreneurs. It is bound to be a great gathering with many discussions regarding technology.
The third BarCamp Boulder will be on October 17-18, 2008 at the Techstars Bunker - 1375 Walnut Street.

Colorado Springs Drupal Meetup: Thursday, November 6th, 6:30 p.m.
Join us for our next meet-up hosted by East Library (Pikes Peak Library District) on Thursday, November 6th! For this meet-up snacks will be provided at 6:30 p.m. and the actual verbalizing will begin at 7:00 p.m. Unfortunately, our generous host closes at 9 p.m., so we'll have to stop the shenanigans and head on out before that time.
We have no real plan for this one, folks. Comment with what you would like to see happen during this meet-up. Have a module you're really impressed by that you want to show off? Want to talk about Drupal's future? There were a few requests for more insight into theming from the designer crowd at the last one. If you want to talk about something, we'll talk about it.

Southern Colorado Drupalers are having their second meet-up at East Library (PPLD) on Thursday, September 4th. Meetups from now on will be on the first Thursday of every month in Colorado Springs. For this meetup chow will be provided at 6:30 p.m. and the actual yammering will begin at 7:00 p.m. If you missed our inaugural meetup, we're going strong and would love to see you at our second.
It's an open agenda, including constructing a Drupal website from scratch, hands-on, with commonly included functionality such as blogging, forums, calendars/events, views, images, galleries, etc. If you want to talk about something, we'll talk about it.
