I saw this mentioned a few times in various posts, but could not find a solution.

If I utilise a view in "node" format, then I do indeed get the imagefield file information required to load the image. HOWEVER, I also get a number of large "blob" style text field contents as the entire node is returned, this requires much more bandwidth (3x more) for each item, at least. Thus making the call slow and wasting time and bandwidth. I also cannot determine how to get fivestar rating values to be returned for each node in the "node" format option.

I have the need for a site where I can define access to individual nodes by user. In this scenario, access by permission or roles is not finite enough. Node_Access has this ability. But when I want to create a view to display the node available to a given user, View's Access setting overrides the permission and roles settings in Node_Access. There is a similar module, Content Access that tries to solve a similar problem.

Overview:

This project intends to enable Drupal importing data from various existing WebAPIs (e.g. Twitter, Facebook, XML, RDF, etc) and put it into Drupal's element (nodes, users, database data, etc..)

This is achieved by utilizing Views and Feeds module in Drupal.

The process of importing external data from WebAPIs will be:
external WebAPIs -> Views -> Feeds -> Drupal (nodes, users, database data, etc..)

I've just contributed the Views Examples module which is a collection of views examples that can be enabled and used directly within views.

Most of the examples are fairly straightforward but I want to add some more complex ones as well. I do have one somewhat complex example using the views_groupby module to create a view of nodes similar to the node being viewed based on taxonomy terms (sorted by the number of common terms). This was something that someone asked if I knew how to do because they couldn't find it anywhere in on the web.

I just released the Views Examples module... currently in alpha because I don't have a ton of examples yet.

Hope some of you can try it out, give me feedback, and let me know what other examples you want added.

Jag har genom CCK skapat en innehållstypen Profil. I detta har jag bland annat fälten förnamn, efternamn, postadress, postnummer, stad, telefonnummer osv.

Jag har skapat en vy för att visa alla uppgifterna och med hjälp av Views Bonus Pack kan jag exportera vyn till Excel, vilket är smidigt om man till exemepl vill koppla en utskrift av uppgifterna till adressetiketter.

I've been trying to get the default drupal comments list and form to show up for this view I've created but it just won't work. I've even tried installing the comment block mod and placing the blocks where they should show up.

The view has a page and a block display (page is articles/%) and I've made sure that the page content type has comments turned on (read and write) yet still nothing. Commenting works everywhere else but not on the views page.

Any idea what could be wrong?

Last night I asked for some knowledgeable Ubercart folks. Would you please drop me a line? I am having a couple stumbling blocks that I think someone who has built a custom view for catalog and product navigation may be able to push me over the hump.

Ja, så har turen kommit till det nedrans bildspelet. I wordpress finns det nån simpel modul som sköter det hela med hjälp av JW Image Rotator. Principiellt är jag emot flash men jag har inte sett något bättre verktyg hittills så jag har kikat på SWF Tools och den verkar ju lösa problemet. Dock saknas ju dokumentation om hur man implementerar och jag hade tänkt mig att för en gångs skull SLIPPA hacka sönder standardmallar för att göra implementationen...

Jag har ett litet problem jag funderat på ett tag. Jag håller just nu på att migrera en wordpresslösning till drupal och i samband med det vill redaktören ha lite features som ger mig lite relationshuvudbry. Jag vill gärna jobba så OO som möjligt vilket får mig att vilja splitta upp redaktörens önskecontenttype i flera delar. Frågan är dock om det är det smartaste?
