Technologists and Entrepreneurs Meetup
As part of Social Web Week CT, http://www.socialwebct.com there is going to be a 'Technologists and Entrepreneurs Meetup' on Monday July 12th from 3 to 5 PM. It will be followed by a New Media Haven meetup. The goal is to get developers and entrepreneurs talking and I hope to get a bunch of Drupal folks showing up.
The Meetup will start of with developers briefly talking about their favorite platforms. I am prepared to speak on why I like to use Drupal, but if someone else wants to speak on that, I might be able to speak on some other topics.

Hi folks,
So I created an irc channel for CT Drupalists.
It's at #drupal-ct.
Don't know about IRC? Go to http://drupal.org/irc.
For those familiar with IRC, please join/autojoin the channel. If we have enough activity on the channel I'll ask for druplicon to be added.
I'll post more on this topic later.

Last night at the Central Connecticut Drupal Meetup, it was suggested that we meet more frequently than once a month and many hands went up in favor of the suggestion. It's also been suggested previously that we meet at a location that is easier for attendees from the New Haven area and consider a meeting night besides the 3rd Tuesday of every month.
With those suggestions in mind, having read over previous postings, and having looked at the calendar of other regional Drupal Meetups and technology groups, I propose we meet a second day each month on:
- the 1st Monday of each month, or

Come meet fellow Drupalists. Come learn what Drupal can do for you and the best practices to apply when using Drupal.

Hi fellow Connecticut folks.
I live in Fairfield County (Stamford to be exact). To date I have been more active in the New York community as that is closer to Stamford than Hartford is. However, it occurs to me that the CT group should probably be about all of CT.
So to that end I created a taxonomy for this group called "County or Region". You'll see it when creating a new post in this group. You can select one or more counties that may be interested in the post.
