May 18th Meetup at Trinity College
As last month, our May 18th Meetup will be held at Trinity College, Mathematics, Computer Science and Engineering Center (MCEC), Room 246 in Hartford, CT. There are directions to the college and a campus map posted online at http://groups.drupal.org/node/63353. Please arrive a few minutes early to insure access to the building, or let me know if arriving on-time will be a problem.
Thanks are due to Trishan de Lanerolle, Director of the Humanitarian FOSS Project at Trinity College, for arranging the space.
We have two exciting presentations planned for this month's Meetup. For newcomers to Drupal, Philip Havens, an independent consultant, will lead a presentation by introducing the requirements for a hypothetical website to be designed and developed with Drupal while our experienced group members will offer guidance towards development and design of the Drupal site. For experienced Drupalists, Michael Stenta and Dylan Riordan of Energy Circle will share their experience with eCommerce using the popular but not very well documented Ubercart.
We will also discuss the regular day and location for a second regular meeting of the Central Connecticut Drupal Meetup each month. Please add to the discussion at http://groups.drupal.org/node/63533 if you have preferences or suggestions.
Hope to see you there,

Eighteen Attendees and Two Excellent Presentations
We had eighteen attendees including five newcomers at tonight's Meetup despite some miserable weather. Thanks go to Phillip Havens for leading an excellent discussion, Michael Stenta and Dylan Riordan for providing an excellent presentation, and Trishan de Lanerolle and Trinity College for providing our meeting space.
Our next Meetup will be held on Tuesday, June 15th at 7:00pm at Trinity College. Phillip Havens will continue to lead a discussion on the design of the hypothetical Chuck and Charlene's Chocolate Candy Confectioners website. A second presentation, tentatively reviewing the design of a production website, needs to be confirmed.
The Central Connecticut Drupal Meetup Group will continue to hold monthly Meetups with formal presentations on the third Tuesday of each month in Greater Hartford. We will also start an online discussion to determine an interesting and challenging project that we will take on as a group to keep things interesting, to continue to learn from each other, and to give back to the community. Meetings beyond the currently planned monthly Meetups will be scheduled around this project in the Greater Hartford area and perhaps as virtual online meetings.

Follow up to enterprise discussion
It was nice meeting you all last night and thank you to Mark for the effort it takes to pull a group together.
Toward the end of the meeting I tossed out the question of what do people think of Drupal heading toward being an enterprise system.
This morning I saw that Aquia is hosting a Webinar tomorrow
May 20 - "Best Practices in Enterprise 2.0 Collaboration and Drupal"
http://acquia.com/resources/webinars/best-practices-and-trends-enterpris...
I thought it may be of interest to some.

Sandra
