Disabling page caching for anonymous visitors who have JavaScript disabled

Our site (http://en.commtap.org), uses a fair amount of JavaScript to modify how its pages are presented according to a visitor's preferences. Unfortunately it appears that a significant number of our visitors don't have JavaScript enabled in their browsers - and do not have the means to enable it - these computers are in primary schools. In this case, the alternative would be for a visitor's preferences to be processed server side when the page is being created in Drupal. This would mean that we would have to turn page caching off, slowing down the delivery of pages for everyone.

Unsure about drupal_add_library

So I have been searching around for the best way to make my jquery accordion work in my drupal site, and I think that drupal_add_library is the recommended way to go. However, I can't seem to find much information on it, or the information that I have found I cannot understand. Anyone familiar enough with drupal_add_library to give me some advice, perhaps a crash course in applying it? Alternatively, if anyone knows of a better way, or something that has worked tried and true for them, I am open to it all.

Running: Drupal 7

Thanks so much

Trouble adding js event Listener on Gmap map (gmap module)

I'm trying to write a Drupal module that will add UTM coordinate fields to a location form, such that they'll interact properly with the GMap map as well as with the Latitude and Longitude fields - i.e. when the map is clicked, the UTM coordinates get calculated and populated along with the Lat/Long ones, and if the Lat/Long coordinates are changed by typing in the fields, the UTM coordinates change also, as well as the map, and vice versa.

Salesforce Form Validation on Drupal Nodes

Hi All,

I have a form validation question that I'm hoping someone might be able to help me with.

We are offering a download of a publication - but require that the user offer a bit of lead information in exchange for this document.

The form we will use will be housed on this page: http://www.oursite.com/[url]/download

Salesforce enables form validation via javascript which does not allow the end user to go to the completion page without filling out all of the inputs: http://bit.ly/e201Zo

Minifying Openlayers.js

Has anyone managed to get the openlayers.js down to less than, say, 300k for use with the openlayers module?

Using the min.conf option with python build script pumps out a respectable 120k .js file ... but it doesn't work at all with Drupal Openlayers.

The library.conf option outputs a .js file "weighing" about 800k. This works with Drupal Openlayers module, but it is hardly worth the effort, saving only about 120kb.

Keen to hear form others re any other experiences in optimising openlayers.js

:) S.

Change color in first-level and second-level menu items highlated in dark redish

Hello. I'm new to OpenPublish and I love the layout and theme and everything about it.

The only problem I have while trying make a subtheme is that I can't find where to change the dark-redish background colour to something else.

Check the image attachment to get the idea easily.

I'm referring to the "current section" highlight of the primary-links menu which has the background #770C2A when selected... and entire set of secondary-links which gets the same #770C2A background. I got the "770C2A" code from the Paint.NET sampler.

I want to integrate with the javascript library/framework KISSY.

KISSY is a new library which is developed by taobao.com 's UE team. It's more like jquery or YUI(its original idea is from YUI2.0, I think), to support some features like ajax, animation, even some enhancement for core javascript to enhance the develop experience and end-user experience especially for Chinese people. Here is the project page, http://code.google.com/p/kissy/, http://github.com/kissyteam/kissy.
